    Great interview with Mike. This is such an important topic, building your mind and body for BJJ! That in of itself is a personal and unique journey.

    Been a blue belt since January and I’m 45. I absolutely have to stretch, especially my lower back due to previous work injury. I absolutely avoid rolling with certain guys especially when they are new, I don’t need to tap them that bad and be wrecked the next day. I watch and wait till they calm down a bit. Also due to decades of working in extreme heat in mechanical areas of buildings I’ve learned that I have to hydrate today to be ready for tomorrow. I try to preach this at our gym but it falls on deaf ears.

    What do you eat that makes your fingers and knees feel better and what do you eat that makes it feel worse ?

      cut gluten out of your diet, its the biggest cause of inflammation in the human body, im 53 4 stripe purple i removed all gluten and 2 weeks later no more arthritis no more sore knees and old injuries have now healed. now been 4 months and body has never felt better

      remove gluten from your diet, it causes so much inflammation in the body you'll notice your joints well stop aching
