Remaking the one good Star Ocean is a pretty great move for Square, though I question if it will be enough for SO2 to break through the "cult classic" status. It's one of the rare JRPGs that is unironically very replayable. Having said that, it is a very JRPG JRPG, like level 255 JRPG in the style of the Tales of series (the similarities aren't accidental). I played this Enix published Tri-Ace PSX classic back in the day and fell in love with it, it has a genuinely interesting production history, it's one of those games that was developed with a lot of gumption, a whole lotta luck and a believing heart. Definitely don't sleep on this one, especially since Square, for all of their many many faults, have been nailing it on the AA space with the HD 2D style while focusing on bona fide classics like Live a Live . This Direct was all sorts of amazing, maybe because people weren't expecting much from Nintendo and were assuming we were on full on Switch winding down mode. But all things considered, an extremely decent Direct. SMB Wonder is looking, well, wonderful, and I'm genuinely intrigued by the SMRPG remake, though I remain a bit cautious. Yoko Shimomura is on board for the remake and she seems decently excited about it on the bird site, which is nice. Still can't get over how absolutely refreshing Wonder looks, it's nice to see that Nintendo is still able to be weird and unexpected [insert rant about the Mario Mandate here]. Apologies for the long post. I've been enjoying your channel immensely, in particular your podcasts with Tucker. I hope you keep doing your best, brother. God bless you.
Pokémon probably didn't have much to reveal for their own Presents so they just went with a regular Direct. I wouldn't say that's a L, we actually got to see what the areas look like, we got new NPCs and they confirmed that Alolan Exeggutor will be seen in the wild in Part 2. This DLC trailer basically confirms that the rumored list of returning Pokémon is very accurate.
I am so happy with the direction they went with Mario Wonder!! I was so burnt out on the "New" super Mario bros and Wonder is the exact answer I think most fans were seeking.
Dude, you gotta play RPG when it comes out. There's a reason it has a massive fan base and Geno fans
mario ate the wrong mushrooms
bro u recognized super mario rpg remake based off clouds within .1seconds wtf

You immediately recognized the game without even playing it. Massive kudos bro, you will LOVE it!
Mario RPG has a nice and steady flow with no grinding needed unless...well that's a secret. 😂

No metal gear solid twin snakes in the collection?!

Shut up! "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon" was a great game on the Nintendo 3DS! And it will be better on the Nintendo Switch! >:(
Dang how’d you predict so many things. Like super Mario wonderland? Close but damn dude lol
Good video!!
Dude Pyoro is a God now haha!
Mario and Wario really carried that Direct for me. Dragon Quest Monsters also looks cool.
I feel like with Sonic Superstars, Sega’s really trying to prove they can still make a sonic game that’s better than one made by fans.

Every Pokemon game on the switch looks like ass, I thought sword and shield looked bad but they keep outdoing themselves.
Pokemon mainline games peaked at Gen 5, imo, and Gen 7 was the last acceptable point on the downturn.
I just realized, glow pikmin are filling the role of the green pikmin everyone always makes concept art about.
Nintendo cooked like goddamn CHEFS
Omg finally a new 2D Mario game. It’s art style and animations make the previous modern 2D Mario games feel soulless.
I’m really impressed.
