@@captainpep3 it has a modest number of new mechanics, world themes, and music, as well as 120 original levels. Super Mario Maker 2 is the most fun I've ever had playing 2D Mario. For those reasons, I count it. But I understand why others might not.

I loved Wiggler coming back to Mario Kart! I loved him in 7 because he always got angry when an item was thrown at him and they’re still keeping that in 8 Deluxe! As for Wonder, this game looks so vibrant and alive, and getting to play as Daisy and Yoshi will be such a treat. Along with all of the Mario characters becoming elephants! I’m also curious on how that Peach game will turn out. I didn’t even get into everything but all I know is that Mario fans will be eating good!

i think it’s just trying to have a more distinct visual look, and the weirdness adds a charm & level of character back to the 2D series that’s been missing since the SNES. Games that try to be weird usually try ti be creative as well! No guarantee it will be amazing but I def feel hopeful!
