@@ericship8383 the regular 458 maybe yes the speciale is something else though. It weighs 700lbs less, has a smaller footprint, and is much more raw and visceral. The New vette is very refined which is both good and bad. Both are amazing cars.
Taking a hairpin turn at 40 and hitting 140 on the straights, yeah that's a pretty sweet ride. I'm happy to see the change Chevy made in the corvette to make it faster in the turns where it really matters!
I’m so happy they made this. Supercar performance and experience that is actually somewhat attainable or at least a realistic goal for the average man. This kind of mid-engine sports car should not only be for the ultra rich.

hey miles, worth to note that the blue interior model was a convertible, and the orange is a coupe. the visibility with the top up in the convertible is a bit better than the coupe, since the engine bay is covered

Still not 458 level though, 458 screamed more in sound, that 400RPM or so made a huge difference + 458 engine was so good it even had more power per liter than this while being 13 years older

Geez! The sound aside, how much grip does this thing have? It does not break loose going fast into the turns. No hint of tire squeal. It is like velcro on the track.

Then it was parked at the grocery store one day when I came out and I had an up close look at it, and it's an amazing looking car and the color really was nice. This one had orange interior stuff as well. I'd probably not go that way, but it really looked good.

All I was saying is that you don’t expect to hear that sound coming from a Corvette, you don’t expect Corvette’s to rev up to 9000RPM, what I was saying is, Chevrolet has made a supercar. I also just realized that this Z06 with a V8 is actually more powerful than the Lambo Hurcan with the V10.

Would that affect the gasoline versions of the cars or would that be a separate car? I am asking because I am planning on getting a gasoline car, not electric/hybrid.
I don't think it needs to aero pack to it, I would argue that a folding rear wing that fits into the profile of the car would look better and function really well, of course this also adds more weight due to the hydraulics. But I am glad that the V8 finally produces enough power. It wasn't that long ago that the 6.2L v8 was barely breaking 500hp when Lexus was producing 500 from its N/A V8 in the F product lines. A bit pricey, but it is on par for power compared to an M5 or what used to be the E63S (RIP), and the RS6/7.
Cars I may never be able to afford. Then the ZR1 and ZORA are coming. I anticipated Chevy would make a 900 to 1,000 horsepower stock Corvette before the C8 released. I was correct, but I am too poor.

The Lexus performed like it only had 400hp due to weight and the cobbled transmission and suspension.
Great car but I still love the style of the C7’s.
They should round the top of the steering wheel to make it far more desirable than the standard strange square top wheel.
