@@ericship8383 the regular 458 maybe yes the speciale is something else though. It weighs 700lbs less, has a smaller footprint, and is much more raw and visceral. The New vette is very refined which is both good and bad. Both are amazing cars.

@@Jugglenaught1980 Definitely a supercar, looks like a zo6 on the profile but the rear end is not corvette. The wrap around dash and square steering wheel are terrible, wow. The 2004 still rocks.

Taking a hairpin turn at 40 and hitting 140 on the straights, yeah that's a pretty sweet ride. I'm happy to see the change Chevy made in the corvette to make it faster in the turns where it really matters!

I’m so happy they made this. Supercar performance and experience that is actually somewhat attainable or at least a realistic goal for the average man. This kind of mid-engine sports car should not only be for the ultra rich.
The average US adult male salary in 2022 was $37K. A $150K sports car isn't a realistic goal for those wages.

hey miles, worth to note that the blue interior model was a convertible, and the orange is a coupe. the visibility with the top up in the convertible is a bit better than the coupe, since the engine bay is covered

In my book this Chevy looks just as exotic as Ferrari - Lamborghini -Maserati -Mc Laren - super in every aspect less money and high output Chevy did absolutely great 👍
The 458 lives again and it’s GLORIOUS.
But with more power!
Still not 458 level though, 458 screamed more in sound, that 400RPM or so made a huge difference + 458 engine was so good it even had more power per liter than this while being 13 years older

So, I'm not a race car driver, but it seems that you have accumulated enough experience through your testing, to do a good job as a non-race car driver with fast cars on a track. I'm a fan of this car as well as the M5 CS. It seems like you weren't allowed the same freedom with the M5 as you were with the Z06 when you had track time?? But, from what you experienced, how close are they as a driving experience? Understanding of course the aero of the Z06 is much more involved than what the M5 has.

Not usually an orange fan but man… I love this color
I kept seeing one driving by, thought it was a little over the top. Then it was parked at the grocery store one day when I came out and I had an up close look at it, and it's an amazing looking car and the color really was nice. This one had orange interior stuff as well. I'd probably not go that way, but it really looked good.

Geez! The sound aside, how much grip does this thing have? It does not break loose going fast into the turns. No hint of tire squeal. It is like velcro on the track.
That’s why good tires are important
I don't think it needs to aero pack to it, I would argue that a folding rear wing that fits into the profile of the car would look better and function really well, of course this also adds more weight due to the hydraulics. But I am glad that the V8 finally produces enough power. It wasn't that long ago that the 6.2L v8 was barely breaking 500hp when Lexus was producing 500 from its N/A V8 in the F product lines. A bit pricey, but it is on par for power compared to an M5 or what used to be the E63S (RIP), and the RS6/7.
The Lexus performed like it only had 400hp due to weight and the cobbled transmission and suspension.
I found my 1st supercar I will buy in a few years!

god I want one :( my dream car is a C07. Nothing fancy, just factory stock. I just love how it looks and sounds and drives. Maybe I'm just biased because I'm American, but I think modern corvettes and mustangs are the best looking cars there are.

In my humble opinion, the Corvette z06 2023 has become a competitor to the Lamborghini Aventador, not the Hurcan, and has become a competitor to all German and European cars in general, in fact Chevrolet pioneered it for the Corvette
The roof panel on that one is “clearly missing” because that’s a HTC with the top down - totally different than the coupe with the top in the trunk.

Looks like a lot of “tire marks leading to off the track”. Were they from the drivers invited to the Event?
I’d sort of expect some drivers having the ZO6 get away from them, that is with little time to learn the track and driving a “New Platform/ZO6” that is such a High Performance Street “Supercar” for the first time.
I can only believe that even being familiar with the Base C8/Stingray, the ZO6 with the additional horsepower and suspension, provides a totally different experience for the driver.
for a change the tablet display is actually well placed in this car, but i hate the “square” steering wheel.
I don’t know how much will those dealers mark it up but if you can get it with MSRP man it just worth every penny.
