The bottom plate could be used for cooking like a stove top over the fire. The wire and springs inside can used for traps and fish hooks. The needle can be used for sewing. And of course as mentioned it can be used as weight for traps or an anchor. Love these vids!

This is exactly why I enjoy combining Bushcraft with Metal Detecting in the woods.
I've yet to find a sewing machine yet tho'. lol.
