*Color not showing up in chat/ only showing up in tab?* Here's a fix! If you're on a non-vanilla server, there's a good chance you've encountered this issue! This fix only applies to *PaperSpigot* (which you should be running anyway in 99% of cases). In the _config/paper-world-defaults.yml_ file of your server, change _use-vanilla-world-scoreboard-name-coloring_ to *true* . This will make the name colors get handled by vanilla teams! edit: I went through and replied a copy of this message to everyone who had commented about it previously, so if you're back on this video because of that: hi again ;^) edit2: changed spigot.yml to paper.yml because im an objectiveless scoreboard edit3: changed paper.yml to paper-world-defaults.yml because they split the files up.

somethings worth mentioning after i dug it all up from the decompressed minecraft jar file 1-All the fonts available by default are: default (normal minecraft font), uniform (unicode font), alt (standart gallactic alphabet, aka enchantment table language) and illageralt (illager language) 2-You can put effects on your text, such as: bold, itallic, underscored, strikethrough and obfuscated "how do i put them in the code?" after the color space (..."color":"dark_aqua",....) you won't put font, instead, in this space you will put the effects you want to your text, place the font afterwards the effects "what is the format"? "effect":"true" ex: (...."color":"dark_aqua","bold":"true","italic":"true"...) hope i helped those who were trying to find this questions ^-^

A prefix is something you put at the beginning of a word, and a suffix is the same thing but at the end. "Pre" -> before "fix" -> attach In english "pre" itself is a prefix! And in Minecraft a teams "prefix" comes before the name, and a suffix comes at the end. I never thought I'd get to talk about linguistics on my minecraft videos, so thank you for this question ;^)

Bruh I dont get why you arent getting more views, but I think its just that most minecraft players cant be bothered with commands. Im a cs majors so commands are the most fascinating to me. Yet ppl are more obsessed about pvp, redstone, or building :'( when the true treasure lies in commands.
I am making a server with no plugins only commands and this is very helpful. Of course i have basic plugins like worldedit and world guard but no plugins for minigames
Teams will probably never support full color because of the /scoreboard setdisplay command, since that allows you to specify sidebars by team color I could imagine them adding extra syntax to allow specifying individual teams at some point though

Datatpacks are all command block commands, anything that can be done with datapacks, with minor exceptions maybe, can be done through command blocks
