The anti-gang/knife crime stuff being implemented in Glasgow is really impressive. Who'd have thunk that actually talking to the (often) young guys and trying to solve the root issues of why they are carrying chibs does more good than trying to ban everything up to an including having hands.

Lovin' this channel. Just subbed today. Love the knowledge and humor. This generator action reminds me of when I found a Generac generator at a yard sale a couple years ago. A simple 6.5 horse gas powered 2000 watt jobby that the guy had up for $100. Said he hadn't run it in a couple years. I gave it a pull on site and it wanted to go but the guy told me that as he was getting it out for the sale he tried to run it and it wouldn't fire up more than a chug or so. I bought it knowing that all I had to do was clean the carb and fuel system as it was most definitely gummed up by old fuel. And damn straight, that's all it was. Cleaned everything up, fresh gas, and fresh oil and now I have a nice little electric power source for home or my truck when I need it. Cheers!

You know what? I think someone about a half a decade ago took a shortcut. Just because it's that particular bearing. I think someone skipped a maintenance period and thought he could get away with it. It's the one bearing that lines up with the oil sump and would be a pain to replace. I'll bet he skipped it, and found another job the next week.

@@agentjwa No, if it eats a new bearing quick you were already out much more for a full engine rebuild including probably a crankshaft and at least 1 rod, but that's also the point you were basically at when it started knocking especially if you didn't tear it down IMMEDIATELY when noise stared. Anyway, I carefully polished that crank journal first with fine sandpaper/WD40/shoelaces to spin the paper, and the rod was still fine, and I did end up replacing all 4 rod bearings. 4G swap the world..
