Thank God I will buy one for myself
Honda DCT has been around since 2010.
We know. My guess is BMW does too. Thanks for the heads up though.
Still, it's about time...
BMW, 10 Years later... We got some new ;))
@@bmeasia4103 not wanting to split hairs but this is not a dtc type system, it is more like the e clutch.
E-Clutch not DCT
Great!!!! I'm waiting for it!!!! I hope also it will be on the RT!!!
It will first on the GS adventure then on the other boxers engins
Please don't remove clutch lever option for manual shifting 😔
Looks like I will be ordering a bike in 2025.
That sounds like the perfect plan for 2025 😉
@@bmwmotorrad yes a Benelli Leoncino 😂
@@alexgrazie93haha
Nice .. definitely will be on the new GSA ❤
BMW pushing the boundaries. Good to see this progression. Formula One!
🙌🔥
What boundaries? Honda is out with the DCT for >10 years , and now they already rolled out the E-Clutch. So no, they're not inventing anything, they're merely catching up. BTW RT owner here

BMW’s boundaries. They amongst the other majors have been reluctant. After years of Honda DCT success is proof enough. So BMW embracing the need to think forward in transmission offerings. Not many motorcyclists want a DCT or clutch-less shift capability. But those who try it end up seeing real benefits. I have a 2022 DCT airbag Gold Wing. My 3rd Wing after years with a clutch. I appreciate the joy & benefits of both technologies. For one. The Friction Zone for slow speed managing is easier with a clutch. The DCT takes some getting used to. For off the line, in traffic and long hauls, the DCT wins hand down for me. Now enjoy that RT.
I might be in the minority, but I'll keep my clutch and manual transmission thank you. However, I welcome all the great options! Good job, BMW!!
No mate, I think there will be many blokes who will stick with a traditional clutch. I for one am too old to try anything new.
Whether semi-automatic or automatic, this is exactly what is needed, congratulations BMW
👏🏽👏🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
Please do not integrate only with GS models. I expect the same from touring motorcycles. For example K1600B 😎🤘🏽❤
Honda e-clutch😎
wow.. illl go for this..bmw no clutch ..im sick and tired of using the clutch specially in traffic>> THANK YOU BMW MOTORCYCLE..... ill wait for this......
I find the new GSA is looking interesting, but I’m one of the rare cases that doesn’t care about looks but more about reliability and features. I have 2-3 years to go until my next (BMW?) bike - let’s see what the first verdict of a owner with 50-100k km on the clock is.
😮😮😮😮
TAKE MY MONEY!
I would love to retain the clutch even if not used. You see for off-road it is needed. (and yes I know you can order it without)
Can’t wait for mine!
I'm a big BMW fan (I also own a car of that brand), but since I have respect for manual shifting, I wanted to buy a Honda NT1100 with a DCT transmission next year. That way i will switch to BMW. Great move. Looking forward to it.
nice BMW
Comming to the GS 1300 Adventure .
Wish it would be on the R18 since it’s almost impossible to apply the rear brake and shift without an heel shifter installed.
Looks like a better version than the MV SCS. Or side grade? I lose the clutch lever but get a fully automatic mode.
I think it is time to present upgrade:)
I can't wait...hopefully the 900xr or 1000xr...and to the NA market.
BMW R 1300 RT?
I really like the gearbox on my GSA but this would be a great extra on my new 1300 GSA when I get one in 2026👏👍💯
How about no?
Not sure about this. I like to feather the clutch in slow maneuvers such as U-turns. Not sure how well the automatic will work in these conditions.
Would have been better if they had kept the clutch lever, just like the e-clutch system in honda motorcycle. Still cool!
❤❤❤❤
But can we please have paddle/button/twist grip shift for those of us who can’t use a foot gear lever.
How is the difference from quick shifter?
In M mode, it's similar. In D mode, you don't even need the clutch. It will be an automatic/automated motorcycle
I don't wanna say it.
Ok I'll just say it delete my comment if you like but its probably like Honda's new e-clutch system?
Seems to be exactly like the e-clutch from Honda
I am planing to buy in 2024 but there is no showroom in gurgaon very sad
Tiene posición neutra (N)? como se pondría?
No clutch up wheelie i guess?
DCT good move
I'm not seeing a clutch lever. 1) Is there a manual clutch lever, and if not 2) how is this not your run-of-the-mill automatic or DCT transmission?
Oh, you use your foot to suggest shifts, not buttons on the handlebar. OK.
R1300GSA??
This system comes with new s1000rr?
The technology will be optionally available for selected 2025 models. Stay tuned for more information. 🙂
@@bmwmotorrad for m1000rr as well?)
Io che ho appena acquistato il nuovo gs, praticamente è già vecchio
I love my 2013 G650GS, but this new technology.......... man, my wallet hurts.
No, thank you, I'll keep my clutch. To me, the clutch, friction zone, is what makes motorcycles, motorcycles.
S1000R will get this too?
More information will follow. 🙂
@@bmwmotorrad Ok, I'll keep my eyes on your YT channel 😉
We can only guess)
M1000RR is state of art, even V4R cannot be compared with this model)
Sad to see this
For 1250 GSA as well ?
Of course not - 1250 is phased out. It will be replaced next year.
@@NULUSIOS In my country, BMW is still selling 70to30% 1250GSa vs 1300. We will see % when 1300/1350 GSa becomes available.
what is wrong with this shit bmw logo?
Hey, BMW - I’m in Austin, TX, USA. Please send my local dealer a red one! Or a black one! Or a Trophy! Or a Tramontina - I don’t care. Macht schnell, bitte!
Avete perso un cliente
You don't have to buy it if you don't want to. It's optional! They'll keep selling manual motorcycles of course
No handlebar clutch lever then no sale. Stop simplifying and dumbing down the riding experience!
🤮🤮🤮
Why????
