In this video, we are taking a closer look at the new GoPro Max. This is GoPro's latest 360 camera and is replacing the Fusion. The GoPro Max has many new features and enhancements over the fusion and may now become a strong competitor in the 3d market. GoPro doesn't heavily market the Max as a 360 camera but more a traditional GoPro that can capture many perspectives. I will follow up with a full review and tutorial videos over the coming weeks.

Take the camera off the mount. How? I flip up the rubber covering, and reach in as you do with my index finger. It does not come off. Anyone else have this issue?

Hero four, five, six, seven, eight, than max 360 ...now max , and nine....new , are so super ....remember. many videos, on UA-cam channels. You are ....all are.super....gopro ....done so well...videos ,...too....

4K in Hero mode on the Gopro Max would have effectively rendered every other action camera obselete...including the Hero 8...

Does that little latch that you pull down on the battery door rattle when it’s fully closed? Mine does and my max is straight out of the box.

The cameras are not back to back like older 360 cameras the new max I see the cameras are on opposite corners on each side of the camera interesting
Thank you for this awesome video. Just purchased my GoPro max. Is the door considerably wobbly when open on all models. It has quite a lot of side to side movement. Should it be stiff?
Have you ever compared the overcapture footage between this and the fusion? They seem identical, if not the fusion slightly outperforming the max with it's higher bitrate. Now that the cameras and apps have been updated with a good new plugin for AE/Premiere, seems hard to justify the Max over the Fusion right now. The fusion is on sale at multiple retailers for only $199. I know the Max does internal stitching, but that doesn't seem like enough to upgrade if you have a capable computer. Am I missing something? What are your thoughts? Love your channel by the way.

Hi Air Photography :) I’m one of your subs 💛 just want to ask, if you are choosing between Gopro 8 and Gopro Max which will you get for doing vlogs? I just started my YT channel and I’m getting my new gopro next week but I don’t know which is great for vlogs.
Hello, still too early to tell I haven’t had too much time to test with it yet. Both would have their advantages and disadvantages but I plan on making more updated videos with more detailed information on various aspects. Keep an eye out on my channel for new videos

Air Photography yea. I did a test and the max can download a video 5x faster than the fusion cuz it stitches in the camera
Gopro are saving 4K for when they do SuperHero mode
Hi Shawn , I have a simple question for you. I’me a mountain biker and looking to buy a 360 cam. So, gopro max or insta 360 one x2 ? Gopro might be more durable for that kind of activities. But I like the one x2 application. What is the best choice for me ? Thanks very much. Josh
I would say durability wise they both are about the same, they’re both waterproof. The delicate point on both are the lenses as they protrude. The insta360 app is more robust and many more features. At the end of the day both will do you well but if you want more editing options Insta360 at this point it’s your best choice

Dont buy the gopro, its shit and wont last you a week
Far better than the Fusion. Not so much better than our Insta 360 One X to make to rush out for it, even though it probably is superior.
I hate gopro software. It tells me to charge my camera before updating, so I plug it in, then it refuses to connect because plugging it in turns the camera into a catatonic state, so you can't update the camera while it's plugged in. It also doesn't seem to charge when connected as a usb device.

Yes win and hero mode you can switch back-and-forth between the front and the back screen. So it Works well for vlogging

No 4K, therefore Not Interested!
I agree that 4K would’ve made this camera more appealing to many users
