I am not sure about Kandao though, but as their professional line seems to be good, I am willing to give them a chance.
In the past I was more in 3d/Stereo Photography. The 3d 180 looks promising, but neither Qoocam nor Vuze Xr nor insta360 evo have yet convinced me.
I own a classic Vuze, but its a bit to much hassle for the type of videos I produce.
Currently I hope for a better quality of in camera stiching and stabilisation plus more afordable Tools for correcting and stiching 360° Videos (I have a great 17min Video in 5.7K where the stiching stopped working 4min in). Mistika sounds great, but its pricing is a bordercase for hobbyists.

Thanks for the introduction video to the GoPro MAX camera. I just bought the MAX camera because my Android 4G phone with latest updates does not support the Insta360 app.
I wanted to get into the 360 camera view videos and hopefully the MAX camera will get my feet wet in learning these type of videos.
I know the Insta360 is now further along with better features and support software. But I need to also invest in another device to run the Insta camera. Maybe further down the road I will get the Insta360 X3 or whatever new version is out. Seems like Insta is doing allot of updates, which GoPro MAX has kind of died on the rack with no updates for quite a while. And no mention of a new GoPro MAX 2 cameras in anytime soon.
Maybe next consumer show, GoPro may give more info on new cameras.
Did GoPro give up on 360 view cameras???? Time shall Tell.
Any new videos on the GoPro MAX camera from you will be very helpful. What 360 editing software is good on a PC for the GoPro MAX for reframing??? Show how hard it is to setup and use editing software on a PC???? I know people talk about Adobe Premiere, but we need to add other things to it to make it work for 360 view videos. I get lost in some of the other videos.

Thanks! The workflow is briefly covered in the comparison video with the ONE X. It's very early days for the MAX. Need to wait a couple of months for GoPro to release better software. Because right now as a Windows and Android user, my options in editing are quite limited.

Yeah, same. It's unfortunate because this past Sunday my local Best Buy had it in stock. Hopefully, next time GoPro doesn't do this to pre-orders. It's Tuesday at the time of me posting this and my tracking via UPS says it's out for delivery. I can't WAIT!

@@Best360 Hi Shanil, Many thanks for taking the time to respond. Could you please look in the Max's preferences menu to see if there is an option for connections, and if that gives you the option to connect a GoPro Remote. I have looked on the GoPro web site for the remote and there are instructions for connecting the remote to the Hero 8 and also the old fusion, but no mention of the Max, so I'm not holding my breath in anticipation. Voice control looks great, but I'm not so sure it will work with the camera mounted on my motorbike when I'm travelling at speed and shouting into my crash helmet.

@@paineys3341 Thanks for the response. I subsequently invested in an Insta360 One R and the remote for that, which works well.
Boxertrix I had a one r but sent it back within a few weeks, it had lens fogging from day 1! Got a GoPro Max, no such problems and got the smart remote for that

Have you tested 360 spherical audio and 360 video? I haven’t seen anyone verify that you can have ambisonics audio with 360 video together. I’ve only seen 360 audio utilised when reframing to produce stereo sound from that angle
I know it definitely captures 360 audio but I've never edited this type of audio before. So when I figure out the workflow I'll share my experience with it.
@@Best360 yeah that's what I've been told, that the workflow is the barrier as the gopro studio doesn't seem to export it... Hopefully there is a way as will make it an incredibly great device if so

Very good video. I think I might buy this to take on holiday with me. Would I be able to use Sony Vegas to edit my footage straight from the Gopro max, or would I need some different software?
You will need gopro max exporter which currently only exports 5.6k video to ProRes. Not sure if ProRes is compatible with Vegas

@@Leestevensmusic If you have a Mac then Final Cut Pro is good. For Windows it has to be Premiere. No matter which way you go you need at minimum an i7 processor, 16gb ram, and 4gb graphics card

Yes it will get rid of the selfie stick if you have the camera mounted properly. See other Gopro Max videos.
hopefully you can show the different types of video that can be created with the gopromax and also the quality of each recording. Some already say that except for the screen included, insta360 one x is better, but it would be great if you made comparisons. I have an insta 360 one x (I bought it after watching your videos and subscribing to your channel) but I'm still looking for something good for vblog and selfie, and maybe having a front screen is better. Oh, and an important thing to test: the sensitivity and quality of videos with low light (especially in automatic because I use it for fast videos) because in such videos the insta360 includes a lot of noise and muare, and many videos are almost useless

Hi Sir, by any chance you could advise if the charger for Hero8 works for Max battery as well?
They use different batteries soo I assume it's a different external charger. But both cameras can be charged internally with a USB-C cable.
nice video. at 3:29 you show the gopro mount screw hole attachment, where do i find that? was it part of a package since i cannot find one exactly like it? i have found others but they are large and round, i like the smallest one with square base. thanks.

Hi. Did you find out how to record 6 mic sorround sound? With any settings i get only stereo sound. Fusion is not problematic about sorround sound. Great to listen on headset and spin around 360 vr video. Especialy on misic event like concerts.
I am not sure if this feature is even available yet. But there is an in camera option to record Spatial + Stereo sound. And then on GoPro exporter you have the option to export spatial sound.
I'm happy with your Video, so there is no 4k -maximum 1440-50 ,or 1440-25 , what is the difference between 50fps -25 when is on 1440 ?
50fps allows for either slow motion or smoother video.

If you buy from GoPro directly then you get a free 64GB card.

It shouldn't be blurry... I do not have the GoPro MAX anymore so I am not sure...

How did you get the GoPro App to view/edit your 360 videos shot with the GoPro Max? Using the GoPro App on my iPAD Pro, footage shot with the GoPro Max in 360 mode only plays the audio and not the video. However, footage shot in HERO mode can be viewed/edited in the GoPro app on my IPAD. What am I doing wrong?
You are not doing anything wrong. Sounds like the app is buggy! It should play... You will need to tell GoPro so they sort it out in the next update 👍

I don't know yet... haven't used it enough. Will discuss this in a later video. There is also a new camera by kandao coming on 7th Nov. And possibly Insta360 early next year

You can make a hyperlapse using the gopro time warp mode but you can't technically edit a timeshift in the app. Has to be premiere.

It's a tough one! You will probably need the media extension with the gopro 8 to get good sound. Gopro MAX is good for vlogging. It has great sound built in but limited video quality to 1440p.

Desaster for Windows Users:
I have a GoPro MAX .... if you are a Windows 10 user like me and may others, then you will expereince that the GoPro software is a Desaster. It has problems installing, throwing error numbers at you. Then you discover that 360 editing is not in the standard software but another software, that you need to buy for 0$ from the Microsoft Store. This software continually crashes is also a Desaster. When you contact GoPro support ... they just ignore you. the GoPro Max is great, but dont think you are going to produce any 360 videos with it on Windows 10!
Now this makes me want to sell my Insta360 One X.. lol
