Ordered one yesterday, this video was a great help. I did end up going for the softer seats as I drive 8 hours a day and felt these could be a little hard over those long days behind the wheel.
Sorry maybe I missed this bit. I've got access to charge daily at work and home, but driving to another town in UK ca 250miles away at the weekend. Charger available there too. What sort of MPG/driving mode can you expect on the motorway during the longer journey?
What no one has answered me yet (and hoping you will) is what happens to the 4x4 when the electric motor battery is flat? From what I am seeing you lose 4x4 and only then have front wheel drive? Or does the petrol engine also goto rear wheels?
The petrol engine will produce electricity, in turn running the rear electric motors. When out of charge, it continues to produce electric but the performance of the rear wheels may be changed. But they'll still work.
What does "a little bit juicy" mean? Although I can charge at home, I will occasionally have to use the car on long trips to remote areas without charging, and I'm wondering what happens to the performance without the charge.
Lasted a good 20 miles of thrashing to be fair. It never got a fair test because I was flat out so much. With battery working correctly you’ll see 120mpg, for at least 16 miles of proper electric running.
@@TheAutoDad - right so just for clarity, in hybrid mode on the motor way you have battery for 20 minutes? I would have thought the hybrid mode would last much longer than that ...
What about servicing. 18k or so for a diesel nearly 30k in my wife's alfa!!! That turbo supercharged petrol getting used and abused must be 10,000 or something silly
*Have Volvo got hold of the marketplace with this one?* Or have they missed a trick? Let me know your thoughts...

Just ordered one. Your review was a big factor. Covered everything 👍
So glad I could help! Fantastic car, you’re going to love it.
Great review. Can I just check the motorway mpg test that was 51mpg.. how many miles was that?
22 miles, in normal mode. I was playing catch-up on that journey so I remember it was foot down every time I got slowed down too.

Anything from 38-60mpg. It’s all dependent on traffic, route type (hills) and speed.

Means it drinks a little more fuel. Performance is largely unaffected but it can drink more fuel once it's truly out of charge.
@TomKentMusic - Thank you for the motorway test. How long did it take until the battery ran out and what was the mpg before it did?

Only if you’re driving hard. It could last 100+ miles of normal non-speedy driving.
@@TheAutoDad ah cool! That’s more what I was expecting... and what mileage would you get then in that case?
Anything from 47-70mpg depending on speed and route variables like hills and wind etc.

It won’t be anything stupid and there will be a lot of third party options too. :)
Discovery sport phew?
Can’t get anything JLR until next year. ☹️
Must be a euro model. US model is 19 miles pure electric vs your claim of 30 miles EV
Bigger battery pack for European sales maybe?
Clicked straight off this video when I heard the awful music
Sorry. 🤷🏻♂️ It IS Music Motors after all...
