- The only siren in Rush City, located at the Rush City Fire Station, sounding Alert. This video was taken about 220 ft from the base of the siren's pole
This was my first time hearing a Whelen WS-3000, and it surprised me just how quiet this siren was, I always figured these were about as loud as a 4004, but this one sounded a good bit quieter than either of the 4004s I've heard in Apple Valley. It also surprised me by running at 560Hz, I wasn't expecting it to be running on a newer controller, but I personally prefer it over the high pitched analogs. Some time soon, I'll have to get a video of the other WS-3000 in MN, located in the town of South Haven, and see if it's had it's controller updated as well.
Nice! I always thought this was analog, im somewhat close with the fire chief so I was able to figure out this goes off for fire calls (when it works), but he wants to go out and help fix it. Nice video!
nice! i was at the shoreview t128, which is still sick
