Federal Signal SD-10 Sounding for Sioux County Tornado Drill, Hospers IA 4/5/24 11:03 AM

One of two SD-10s in Hospers, located at a park near the intersection of Cedar St. and 6th Ave, sounding off in Fast Wail. This video was taken about 160 Ft. from the base of the siren's pole.
I discovered this siren just under a year ago while I was working, heading into Hospers to pick up a load at a manufacturer located in town. While I was stopped, I noticed it was not marked on the IA siren map, since at that time the only siren known in town was an eclipse 8. After giving this location to the owners of the IA siren map, one other SD-10 and another Eclipse were also discovered, and since that time I've been wanting to go back to Hospers to get a recording, but it never really came together.
A couple of days before this test, Mikey let me know that Sioux County would be doing a delayed tornado drill, and since we were both free we decided to head down there to get a video of this siren and a 2001-SRNB in Orange City. The expectation was that this siren would either be completely inactive, given it's very close proximity to the Eclipses in town, or do a short, underwhelming test, and as soon as it began to wind down after the first cycle, we figured that was going to be it. It was not.
Unfortunately my 540 had run out of battery just after the last test, and Mikey's spare didn't charge for some reason, and my P1000 was completely out of memory, and I hadn't yet had time to go buy another card for it, so this was recorded on my phone. Despite this, I think it came out relatively okay, and I'm not going to complain.
