Well, a can-firing soda machine can still be pretty painful, and lethal, if aimed correctly. (See: Maximum Overdrive!)
Ok dude, having your phone on your wrist do the Mask signal was frecking genius!
After the M.A.S.K. craze had ended, I had seen the lonely, playset sitting on the top self, in the Zellers toy dept. I never asked for it, but It was secretly bought for me as a birthday gift! I am glad that I got it, because it really was super cool. If it had that Rhino launching rocket in the mountain top, it would have been perfected, but it is still one of the coolest eighties playsets of all time! It all worked together, I got it, mint in box and opened and put it together and played with it, as a kid of the right age, I couldn't help but bond with it! I think that the slide out, rounded metal bunker, stands out in my memory for it's coolness factor the most!
One of your best intros. Being paged by M.A.S.K was the best. Thank you so much for the awesome review. I remember when both my son and daughter were babies I would say, “lifter on”whenever I carried them.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Haha, that's great. :D
As always, your sense of humor makes your vids off the charts hilarious, Michael Mercy. 😂 Thanks for dropping your Jenga game to take that call, 80’s Toy Museum. 😎👍
Thanks!
so sweet. why does mask just bring you back to sat morning tv
you didnt even budge you sat and took it all in
ah memories
Okay I like the opening sequence with the your watch going off and with the Mask logo and you are playing with Jenga and you knock them down so cool . I would probadly do the same as well .
Brother For A Split Second Thought This Video Was Hasbro Rerelease Of M.A.S.K LoL Good Stuff!!! We Need 3 3/4 M.A.S.K Rerelease Make The Figure Line About Playsets And Vehicles But Bigger And Better LoL. Flush Out The Characters More. Hell Make Vemon A Subsidiary Of Cobra Tomax And Xamot Help Fund Vemon And Help With Weaponry While Vemon Is Infiltrating The Military Industrial Complex Stealing Tech From Transformers Make The HASBROVERSE Finally LOL!!! GI Joe And M.A.S.K Has To Team Up To Defeat Cobra/Venom!!!
Much Love Keep Up The Great Videos!!!
Excellent video, I absolutely love the intro! Boulder Hill is one of my all-time favorite playsets and cartoon headquarters.
Thanks Droz. Now back to Jenga! :D
Everyone says"show acurate wasn't a thing back days" well they are wrong
Thank you for this !! Brought back so many dormant memories.! I was 7 when I hit this for Xmas !
Only because he said to leave a comment if I had a MASK memory. Yep!I remember going over my cousin's house one summer after playing with Boulder Hill the summer before. He denied even knowing what Boulder Hill was so I couldn't play with it. I'm suprised my Uncle let him get away with that.
I wish I was a kid again and you lived next door so I could play with all those toys LOL.
Never too late to play with toys. :D
This was the only MASK playset I owned. I loved it
I remember trying to not lose the hoses because they hooked up to other things besides the gas pumps. In this vid at 8:56 when you turn the jail cell around, there are 4 holes that those hoses could be attached to.
And i feel like a few of the vehicles had those holes too? Condor definitely did, on the left and right sides of the motorcycle.
Edit: Yes! In your other vid here:
ua-cam.com/video/uMojmkIED2s/v-deo.html (sides of the Condor)
ua-cam.com/video/uMojmkIED2s/v-deo.html (sides of the Gator)
ua-cam.com/video/uMojmkIED2s/v-deo.html (on the "hood" of the Gator boat)
ua-cam.com/video/uMojmkIED2s/v-deo.html (side of Firecracker's orange motorcycle)
ua-cam.com/video/uMojmkIED2s/v-deo.html (I THINK near the right rear wheel of Rhino)
ua-cam.com/video/uMojmkIED2s/v-deo.html (side of Jackhammer)
May have missed a few!
Man, you're giving me flashbacks with this stuff! Haha
this was one of the two big toy sets i had as a child, the other was the gi joe tomahawk, i loved mask, and would love to see a reboot, or get the remake treatment like he man and gi joe have gotten, maybe some new vehichles with new engineering and even some remakes of the originals
So good! My buddy JD had this and MASK overall may have been my 2nd favorite after GI Joe.
I had this, but I haven't thought about it in years! Thank you for the trip down memory lane!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. :D
The theme song of this series seem to every now and then pop in my head - so I decided to have a look... Way cool!!
I remember I had the Buddy Hawke's tow truck and the Venom group's purple Nissan and the female driver.
Did have Matt Tracker as a sole figure, with the larger mask - but I also remember cutting off the lower part of it, for it to make the mask according to the og series style..😁
So sad I have no idea where these both vanished thru time.. Awesome collectibles nowadays.
I remember owning this. It was so great that it actually was made to fit the toyline unlike many other toys. It was such a joy to use having the other vehicles drive out and then covert into battlestations.
Hey look up the "cliff dagger" channel. His MASK customs are insane. He made a basement for Boulder Hill amongst other things.
I really liked the actual real product branding on the play set. Champion is a long time manufacturer of stuff like spark plugs and ignition stuff and was very common in the 1980s. STP is all kinds of products referring to oil, engine treatments, fuel injection cleaner and general purpose automotive chemicals. Crager is a classic muscle car wheel company known for some styles. Pennzoil is just what it says oil though both do come from Quaker state oil company. Those companies featured there definitely had to approve the use of their trademarks so it’s pretty impressive they did for a kids toy.
These are so well done Michael, including your voice narration they could easily be a show on netflix or TV, a producer needs to contact you ASAP! - good work sir.
Thanks! Nerdmasté! 🙏
Man. I completely forgot about this! I had the station, the semi and the 57 Chevy. That's is so insane, I just got insane rush of nostalgia.
M.A.S.K. was my favourite toyline back in the day. Such a cool funny video thx.
As a huge Mask fan, I can't help but highlight one major issue that bugged me so much as a kid. Rhino doesn't fit through the playset. I couldn't as a kid understand why this was the case, surely Kenner knew us kids would want to recreate the opening scene as the heroes drive out of Boulder Hill!?
On a side note the petrol pump lines were very poor made, and it was a struggle to fit them onto the connectors on the playset. Even if you had an adult helping, when they got them on correctly, about ten minutes later they slip off again. I can't remember any kid I knew having those lines on their set, so yours is vintage in that respect. Great video. #kennerfreeRhino
I always wanted this play set, but never got it. Also not only did I never get it. I've never actually seen the play set in real life. I didn't know anyone who had it, and I've never seen one out in the wild.
Absolutely fantastic video Michael! This is by far one of my favorite play sets! Great job,I appreciate all your work sir!
Thanks! Much appreciated. 🙏
I have this and managed to get about five vehicles, but wish I could have gotten more into playing M.A.S.K. There were so many appealing toy lines at one time. I have forgotten about some of these features.
This amazing playset, combined with optimus prime, starscream and a couple of starcom vehicles took me to galaxies far, far away way back when. Love your vids m8
Thanks Stephen! 🙏
i really remember when i had them for chrismas. So nice ! we were just happy 🙂🙃 good old days...
I think when it comes to vehicles and play sets. GI-Joe is still the undisputed champion.
Great review! I remember this playset but never knew anyone that had it. Seemed MASK was short lived back then as I recall
You should review earthrise/kingdom leader class Optimus Prime he is a phenomenal figure and is very good
I'm converting mine to a battery bank charging station ... NOPE
Gi joe 1987 edition? Love your channel btw
Great video. I use a couple of Tele Viper hoses for my petrol pumps. Fit perfect.
Just got a complete Boulder Hill for under £70. Bargain! No figures, but I already own Alex and Buddy short MASK versions. Had this as a kid and glad to have it again 😊
Congrats & enjoy!
$32.95?! I will take it!😁👍. Loved the intro Mike!😂. Always love these type videos you make! I learn so much and always love how creative they are! THANKS!!! 😁😁😁
Thanks Bill! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙏
And, the only thing the gas station *couldn't* do was pump gas. : )
Regarding the remaining UNFINISHED BUSINESS (tm), I think there was a WWF/E playset with a soda can launcher, which, albeit out of scale, could suffice your impractical ammunition woes
Cool! Thanks for the heads up!
I never had any MASK. Cool video though.
An absolutely perfect playset presentation
Been a while since I've seen one of your videos and, as someone who has started becoming interested on mask again, this is great
Thanks for another outstanding production, Mr. Mercy! I had MASK toys, but never got my hands on Boulder Hill. Even the kid across the street (with divorced parents who always tried to one-up each other on gift giving) never had it!
Thanks!
My fave youtuber! Man I love these video's!
Great video as usual, Michael. Thanks for sharing! This one I always wanted to have as kid but never did; back in the day and where I grew up, that price tag you showed was about $20-$30 more expensive.
Thanks! I figured that was a sale price, since the sticker is overtop of another one.
Fantastic video!! I just found all the parts to my Boulder hill (except the dang hoses) during our move to a new house. It's a great playset AND a great display piece!!
Thanks Thomas! 🙏

Your toy roooooom. ❤️
I'm convelling 😀
Awesome intro. Never had any MASK toys but loved the cartoon. Thank you for sharing the 80s toy museum.
Thanks Edward, glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! I loved MASK . I remember going to a local festival and they had a game where MASK toys were prize choices. And somehow my mom and dad won me a huge haul of MASK toys including the boulder hill playset.
Thanks Rick!
You had me at the awesome intro, Michael! M.A.S.K. is one of my favorites; both the cartoon and the toys. Great soundtrack as well. Wish it was on UA-cam somewhere. Maybe one day.
Thanks, Greg! 🙏
This is still on my want list. Someday I'll pick this up
What an awesome playset. Thanks for uploading this video. So many cool details.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! 🙏
I bet a certain transforming red semi with a gray trailer would fit in the garage
Absolutely loved this review! Been waiting for it ever since you announced it. I got this play set for Christmas when I was a kid and spent countless hours playing with it. Sadly I no longer have it anymore but have keep the memories of the times I had with it. Someday I’ll have one again as soon as I can afford it lol.
Thanks!
Thanks Dirk! 🙏
I don’t remember ever seeing this as a kid. I had the Rhino, Firecracker, Condor, and Volcano, though. I have replaced my Rhino, but the firecracker was probably my most played with. It did all kinds of cool things, but was smaller to go in the car and tag along wherever I went. Mask was my favorite toy line because the cars were all licensed, and I could pretend the cars I saw in the road were mask vehicles. Great vid, and thanks for the work you put in to take us all down memory lane.
My pleasure! :D
Michael, great video, nostalgia, and top-notch editing. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. :D
Remarkable video and thank you for posting this video about the Mask Boulder Hill headquarters playset and Mask was also one of my most favorite cartoon series and toyline, also Micheal thank you keep up the 👍 work and stay safe and stay healthy.
Thanks Steven! You as well!
Dude, I have only recently discovered your channel, love it👍🤘😎🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for checking it out. Much appreciated.
Another masterpiece Michael!
Thank you! :D
I still have a Boulder Hill shaped hole in my soul...
i just bought a near mint stinger ride on ebay for 20$
Man, I'm jealous. I wanted that so bad.
It’s amazing you have all this stuff still!
That computer voice is less piercing than I remember. Tell the wife nice job.
Haha, will do. ;-)
Thank you for the overview. This was my playset growing up, and it remains awesome. Although I always thought that decal on the roof was supposed to represent the Energy Room.
$32.95 is around $80 in today’s time.
Hmm...I thought that was a sale price but that sounds about right since Origins Castle Grayskull is going for about $75 US.
Ok that intro earned an insta-like XD
Wow, that is one awesome playset, so many playful features I've ever seen on one playset. Thanks for showing the Kenner M.A.S.K. fully loaded headquarters. You're so totally awesome and you rock Michael.
Fantastic job on this video. Entertaining and informative.
Thanks Michael! 🙏
I forgot how many play features this playset had. Granted I didn't own it and only got to play with a friends.
The scale of M.A.S.K. totally lent itself to toys like this and Outlaw.
This is my favorite video you've done to date. Hilarious!!
Thanks Gordon! :D
Oh no, your game of Je...umbling Tower!
Haha, a Toys R Us exclusive! :D
You know I always loved the M.a.s.k. toys. I use to have a bunch growing up. But for some strange reason I cant get into the cartoon. The intro is cool but the cartoon itself I cant get through.
Same for me. There are some great episodes with amazing animation, but it's similar to Silverhawks and C.O.P.S. for me. Great toys but the stories weren't always that memorable.
@@MichaelMercy I enjoyed Silver Hawks. own the complete series. Cops I love...Very fond memories of watching the cartoon. But I agree not every story was solid.
Love your videos they always make me smile thanks keep up the great work
Thanks! :D
Awesome review.
This is the one playset I always wanted when I was younger, the reason was just how amazing it looked, sadly I never got it.
Thanks Michael! :D
@@MichaelMercy You're welcome. :)
mask was the best.
Jenga! shoot you have a mission! Awesome intro! Mask was one of my favorite toy lines. I was lucky to get a sneak peak of it before it hit shelves when I went with my Grandparents to a trade show and Kenner had a table of pre-production mask toys to show off to retail store owners so they would put orders in. As soon as I saw them, I knew they would be a hit.
These are SO expensive now! Even in adulthood I can’t really afford it .
Entire childhood right there.... so many summer day fire fights with the MASK crew, just a shame the figures were so much smaller than my other action figures and gi joe
Where are you getting these code names? They never had code names.

IT’S A FLOATER!
Great video !
Love this whole video, brilliant 😄👍💥
Thanks, glad that you enjoyed it.
Top notch
Have you done an episode on Mattel food fighters yet ?
Nope, I don't have any.
So glad when I picked this up about 11 years ago. I did not have this as a child but man it was certainly on every birthday and Christmas wish list
This is cool
amazing intro, have a nice weekend to you 2
Thanks Stéphane! 🙏
Cool.
