This 100% works I just bought this adapter to try it out… only questions is do you know how to not hear yourself ? Im on iPhone 14 pro and looking for a way to control the output so I can’t hear myself(mic) but still hear everything else on the phone (for gaming)

Great and informative video! Question, will this work on small USB sound cards for playing guitar on app like Bias FX or evern Bandlab. On my laptop I use a small USB sound card called Vention it has 2 3.5mm jack 1 input 1 output for recording directly to Reaper. Thanks in advance!
I have this adapter from several years and tried using it with Apogee 96K Mic (older version with no headphone jack in Mic) and didn't find this much useful as with monitoring ON there is significant delay/latency from Garage band to your headphones on an iPhone. I think still the best option to monitor is with a headphone jack directly on Mic.

Is there any way to do this in a phone call? I can only seem to use my bluetooth headphones while on a call. Apparently use to be able to via discord feature but its since been removed. It does work within garageband so thats nice! Just wanting to use it while talking with others.

I have the blue yeti mic and the same 3in 1 otg adapter, plugged my headphones into the mic but I don't hear anything for live monitoring. 6:16. Works with garage band but not with the camera app when recording videos.

Late coming to this but…. I don’t seem to be able to make it work, got everything as in the video. Blue Yeti lights up when connected to the adapter and iPhone but the sound on the video isn’t coming through Blue Yeti! It’s just the camera picking up the sound from the iPhone itself. Any troubleshooting?
Ok so I solved my problem my otg had a mic jack not an audio jack so that was my fault 🤦♂️

Thank you so much! When the mic and the adapter connected to iPhone using Garage Band, it sounds fine. But when using the iPad, the mic makes a loud hissing noise (like someone pedaling a bike). Any thought?
That's strange, I'm not sure why that is happening with the iPad. Do you happen to have anything else plugged into it?
@@TobiasHolenstein No, just the mic with TRRS cable connected to the adapter. It could be because of the quality for the adapter (from Amazon). But if I use apple’s genuine adapter lightning to 3.5mm jack, the sound is clean. So now I just use the adapter that has 2 lightning ports on one side. One port is connected to the mic using lightning-3.5mm jack, and the second lightning port connected to the power cable. And then connected the other end to either iPad or iPhone. This also produce a cleaner sound using Garage Band

As far as I know, and I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a way to use a USB mic for calls. The only thing I can think of is using some kind of analog mic that would plug into a headphone jack. Such as the iphone headphones that have the built in mic on them

I’m not sure if I missed it in this video or not but I’m having an issue with my usb mic and iphone . I have the dongle thing and I plug my yeti mic into my iphone but then the Bluetooth headphones stop working in GarageBand . As soon as I unplug the yeti mic, the Bluetooth headphones work.
The Blue Yeti has a headphone out which garage band will automatically default to. I'm not sure if there is a way to change the output to your Bluetooth headphones, but I would recommend just plugging a pair of regular headphones into your Blue Yeti. You'll be able to hear everything through there. Also, with Bluetooth headphones, I've noticed that there is a bit of a delay with them when you use them with garage band and a USB mic.

For recording audio into garageband or something like that you can monitor with the headphone jack on the adapter. With video, I don't think you will be able to monitor the audio while you are recording, you can only listen to it after you record. If you are using wireless headphones, there will be some latency

I have a blue yeti and I got the adapter to connect it to my iPhone but when im recording a video, I can't monitor my audio. I can't hear anything at all through my headphones but when I stop the video and unplug the adapter then the sound comes through my iPhone speaker . Any advice??

Is there a reason my sound cuts off completely when the mic and headphones are plugged in? My microphone works by itself and stays powered on when I plug my headphones in but when they’re plugged in together, I hear nothing at all and my voice is no longer being registered, although my microphone is showing it’s powered on
