I dont think Youhu does much liberation damage so the passive isnt ideal for her. Plus Youhu is a tagged as a support and healer. Pretty sure you should just use the concerto series gauntlet on her.

Zhezhi sig is only 14% stronger than Cosmic Ripples on her. So we have something similar with the BP weapon on XY, which's probably about 10-20% weaker than his sig.
The BP weapon Stonard is sadly way way down unless the xiangli Sig weaps stats I've seen are wrong. Have it at R5 and if correct it's about 150 atk and 4% crit rate down on it.

His sig at R1 has 4% crit rate, 175 base atk and 30% Liberation DMG bonus more than Stonard at R1, but this difference becomes lower because of Yinlin's Outro buff (liberation dmg) and all the dmg buffs from your healer. The more stats you have the less impactful they become, that's why you have to balance between ATK, CRIT, and DMG bonus (electro + specific skill), so like I said his sig will probably have 20% dmg difference from the BP weapon, but that saves you 70-80 pulls. So it's an option, it is not the best but it's still a "nice substitute" like I said. The biggest advantage of XiangiYao's signature weapon is the high base ATK, which means the more atk% stats and buffs you have on him the more RAW total dmg he gets, it's way better than any DMG bonus and Crit Stat.
All Signature weapon released so far except Changli and Zhezhi has been Attribute Damage up. Xiangli Yao's would be the fourth one. Defo shelling out for him cuz his gameplay was really fun!
Crit is definitely the best substat but its not THAT universal. Some characters do almost no liberation damage (Jiyan, Encore, Aalto, and Youhu from the looks of it). It could very well just be a stat stick with a useless passive for the next 5 star gauntlet dps after Xiangli Yao, if they do no lib dmg.

personally, im gonna do the doomed "build pity" on his gauntlet, if i get to like 55 pity i will hold off and get the weapon of the next character i actively choose to get, ill be 55 on both weapon and character, so shorekeeper is gonna be in the bag
My Shorekeeper is Guaranteed, I have 100+ pulls saved, So I will get his weapon as I am planning to main him and I also main jianxin. And Variation is good enough weapon for Shore keeper. O rather save my pulls for 1.4 characters as there will be 2 new female characters in that patch.
I'm saving my pulls for shorekeeper. If I ever need this guys weapon I will pull for it then, but in your case, yeah! I use Yinlin,Jinshi and Changli and only have Baizhi (6*) as support. I am the kind that just can't pull for loli's, I question myself and my dignity when I play them. I feel like I'm getting emasculated playing them as well, haha

honestly pulling for weapons in this game is worth it, for the weapons like the sword, u can get away with the standard banner weapons cause give crit rate. But for this weapon it looks like a must pull cause kinda meh alternatives and the weapon itself is good
All games are worth it, genshin too, but it just feels like a heavy investment in genshin, also with the 50/50 and 200 characters you'd rather have. But a good weapon in genshin can make any character shine, just about.. there are excpetions.. definitely. :)

@@BossHoss429 I used mine on Jianxin, and I got calcharo, and I don't use any of them anymore. I don't play lolis so Verina was never an option. So Baizhi 6* can ress and heal good enough and when shorekeeper comes I'm getting her. Also I feel the bigger issue with this game isn't who you pulled for or not, it's who you spent months of resources on. I mean 4 fully levelled chars is all I have, I can't even complete the whale tower, far from it.. smh
@@dongarippo7279 i feel you on that. I wasn't really looking at it from a stand point of using a loli character. For me having the best healer and buffer in the game was the priority. Atleast that's my mindset about it. Besides with decent echos havoc rover can rip. I also have jianxin and her liberation buff with Verina's buffs makes havoc rover hit plenty hard enough.

ngl i feel like Yao's weapon is bait to drain ppl off a couple pulls, even if its only 40 pulls. Its by far the best guantlet as of now but unless you plan on maining yao for a few months it might not be worth for everyone, just a fruit of thought
I feel conflicted on this, like i know that its bait but its also a general weapons that can be used on all the gauntlets users. If I get it now I also am less like to need a weapon later..I wanted weapons of each type with either cr/cd lol so I can only want characters later
@@xAzur3x It doesnt matter at all. You dont actually need 5s weapons to clear anything. Maxed out S0 R1 90 teams clear middle ToA in sub 40s. You literally only need a third of their DPS. Capped traces, half decent echoes, and reasonably synergistic teams are all you need. Add to it that we're getting Atk/Atk 4s weapons in 1.3 with a universal effect _(+10/20%Atk on skill use)_ so i really wouldnt bother Just use the free blue and weapon pulls for weapons and get one of each on the long run. You absolutely dont need to spend any Asterite if you'd rather save for chars

If you saw videos with people having insane echo set and speed running tower, i dont think you are seeing what common players are experiencing. Just played diligently since day 1 and properly allocating my ressources. Your Changli is not capped to begin with, and I'm willing to bet that your rotation is terrible. Not quickswaping anything but the 2nd Forte tanks her DPS by about 40%. She's not a low skill character

If one doesn't get shorekeeper now, better wait, if one does get her, then maybe this weapon can be something for later but future characters. We want preferably 3 full teams for the whale tower. Lingyang litterally has 0 liberation damage in his repartition. It would be a minor upgrade from Cosmic Ripples for him, just from the raw stats. Maybe 3-4%

You'd be surprised by how easy it is to build up Crit Rate, from things like Echoes and Forte Upgrades (both Jinhsi and Zhezhi have Crit Rate upgrades).

@@chokeolatte Its not. R5 Variation doesnt change the rotation on anyone but Baizhi, and even then 10% Atk buff, 20% ER, and 12% HP is much better than having to use two less autos per rotation. You could argue its not worth the Asterites, and i would agree on that since no content actually justifies the cost on its own, but saying that its weaker than variation is flat out wrong
Shorekeeper for sure though, this weapon feels like a pull for it so you have to swipe for shorekeeper. I'd rather just pull for shorekeeper and get this weapon when I need it, or on his rerun if I want it so badly
If you have variation it will only have 20% less ER, 12% less hp, and 10% less ATK buff. So if you have variation then I don’t think it will be a must pull but it still will be very strong, but then again we probably won’t get another weapon like it for a while and it works on all of the healers

definitely the wisest choice, unless one badly wants this guys weapon. I'd say shorekeeper at least, weapons if you are a bit of a shark. F2P just get shorekeeper and some energy weapon will likely be good enough. I'm purely guessing though. Main dps should have top tier weapons though
my calcharo 12/12 one tower consistently while jinhsi takes care of the other one. soon i will start focusing on the middle tower bosses so gonna build xiangli yao slowly along with shorekeeper. my main goal now is to get one five star weapon of each type that can be used on any DPS, got the standard sword, jinhsi sig so far so three more to go. XL's weapon is looking good so most probably gonna get that. i dont need shorekeeper's sig anyway.
I was gonna get his sig weapon but i have 3 battle pass weapons i can choose so I can get a R3 bp weapon. I’m saving my pulls for Shorekeeper. Knowing my luck I’ll lose my 10th 50/50.
This looks pretty average, as far as limited weapons go... The stats are basically the same as Jiyan's or Jinhsi's signature. (In other words, great if the vast majority of a character's damage comes from Liberation, but otherwise not a massive upgrade. Not nearly as universal as the Stringmaster, since all damage dealers benefit from that ATK buff, or the Shorekeeper's signature weapon, which buffs the whole team when equiped by any healer.) If Xiangli Yao is your favorite character and you want to take him to the next level, sure, go for it! But otherwise... This is neither broken nor a must pull, imo. At least no more than any other limited weapon. As a f2p/low spender, if you care about meta, I think the best strategy is to save your asterite for Shorekeeper, and save the weapon tickets for weapons with more universal buffs.
A gauntlet that jianxin lingyang and Youhu can use or a rectifier that is bis for verina baizhi and sk? I take the second option since can benefit all teams not only 2 or 3. Xly can do the lower levels without signature.
Here's the thing, shorekeeper is right around the corner and her weapon for support IS UNIVERSALLY GOD TIER WITH IT'S 20% DMG INCREASE TO ALL MEMBERS And idk man if we lost 50/50 in sk most of us kinda not clearing TOA ngl eventho i did full crest I'd rather have someone like sk to give me auto dodge
@@Thephantomthunderingophissit's not that good, that 10 % DMG bonus is comparable to one proper DMG bonus roll in ur echo. It won't even increase ur DMG by 2 or 3% tbh. And in WuWa you dont need such heavy investments in supporting characters, even upgrading that weapon to Lvl 90 will take so much resources just Variation is good enough for supports. If ur DPSes have their BIS weapons you don't need much DMG bonuses buffs.
you have to play the moon chasing festival popularity event that is already underway since the update and reach popularity level 6 to claim him for free. the event will last the whole patch so no worries. just play it regularly.

Surely I'll use him as I don't have more teams still, I just have 1 team for general purposes. Also I don't really have a suitable weapon for him as I bought the BP rectifier instead. tbh using R5 Stonard would give you almost the same value as his signature lol . Only 4% crit rate difference and 12% attritube dmg you wont be missing alot .

It doesnt really matter. WuWa is essentially a single player game for now. Its you, and only you vs PVE. There's really no need to fomo over it. The only real loss is the asterites from daily logins and events, and even then i wouldnt really bother much

Lingyang litterally has 0 liberation damage in his repartition. It would be a minor upgrade from Cosmic Ripples for him, just from the raw stats. Maybe 3-4%

I'm still waiting for someone to test it. and also there's no limited weap for gauntlet rn this would be the best option for right now since I'm only using 4* weap on lingyang this would be a major upgarde to his damage. and if they release some powerful gauntlet in the future that suits him more this weap is not a waste since xiangli yao is free and just use it to him.

I'm starting to believe that in WuWa what makes a character do 5 star damage is a 5 star weapon that offer crit rate or crit damage.
Am I the only one who thinks 24% Crit Rate as a substat is really really low??
You'd be surprised by how easy it is to build up Crit Rate, from things like Echoes and Forte Upgrades (both Jinhsi and Zhezhi have Crit Rate upgrades).

Its because the base attack is high, Yinlin and Zhezhi weapons have 72CV because they have low base attack, Kuro just balances it out.

@@chokeolatte Its not. R5 Variation doesnt change the rotation on anyone but Baizhi, and even then 10% Atk buff, 20% ER, and 12% HP is much better than having to use two less autos per rotation. You could argue its not worth the Asterites, and i would agree on that since no content actually justifies the cost on its own, but saying that its weaker than variation is flat out wrong

Shorekeeper for sure though, this weapon feels like a pull for it so you have to swipe for shorekeeper. I'd rather just pull for shorekeeper and get this weapon when I need it, or on his rerun if I want it so badly

If you have variation it will only have 20% less ER, 12% less hp, and 10% less ATK buff. So if you have variation then I don’t think it will be a must pull but it still will be very strong, but then again we probably won’t get another weapon like it for a while and it works on all of the healers

Honestly though, there will be re-runs but it's good to support the game as well if you feel like it. I think shorekeeper is a far bigger hit for everyone. We will need 3 supports for the whale tower eventually, I mean I'm not even half way there with 3 full teams and I played since day one. I'm not exactly swimming in credits, materials and waveplates.

definitely the wisest choice, unless one badly wants this guys weapon. I'd say shorekeeper at least, weapons if you are a bit of a shark. F2P just get shorekeeper and some energy weapon will likely be good enough. I'm purely guessing though. Main dps should have top tier weapons though

my calcharo 12/12 one tower consistently while jinhsi takes care of the other one. soon i will start focusing on the middle tower bosses so gonna build xiangli yao slowly along with shorekeeper. my main goal now is to get one five star weapon of each type that can be used on any DPS, got the standard sword, jinhsi sig so far so three more to go. XL's weapon is looking good so most probably gonna get that. i dont need shorekeeper's sig anyway.
I was gonna get his sig weapon but i have 3 battle pass weapons i can choose so I can get a R3 bp weapon. I’m saving my pulls for Shorekeeper. Knowing my luck I’ll lose my 10th 50/50.

This looks pretty average, as far as limited weapons go... The stats are basically the same as Jiyan's or Jinhsi's signature. (In other words, great if the vast majority of a character's damage comes from Liberation, but otherwise not a massive upgrade. Not nearly as universal as the Stringmaster, since all damage dealers benefit from that ATK buff, or the Shorekeeper's signature weapon, which buffs the whole team when equiped by any healer.)
If Xiangli Yao is your favorite character and you want to take him to the next level, sure, go for it! But otherwise... This is neither broken nor a must pull, imo. At least no more than any other limited weapon.
As a f2p/low spender, if you care about meta, I think the best strategy is to save your asterite for Shorekeeper, and save the weapon tickets for weapons with more universal buffs.

And idk man if we lost 50/50 in sk most of us kinda not clearing TOA ngl eventho i did full crest I'd rather have someone like sk to give me auto dodge

@@Thephantomthunderingophissit's not that good, that 10 % DMG bonus is comparable to one proper DMG bonus roll in ur echo. It won't even increase ur DMG by 2 or 3% tbh. And in WuWa you dont need such heavy investments in supporting characters, even upgrading that weapon to Lvl 90 will take so much resources just Variation is good enough for supports. If ur DPSes have their BIS weapons you don't need much DMG bonuses buffs.

you have to play the moon chasing festival popularity event that is already underway since the update and reach popularity level 6 to claim him for free. the event will last the whole patch so no worries. just play it regularly.

tbh using R5 Stonard would give you almost the same value as his signature lol . Only 4% crit rate difference and 12% attritube dmg you wont be missing alot .

It doesnt really matter. WuWa is essentially a single player game for now. Its you, and only you vs PVE. There's really no need to fomo over it. The only real loss is the asterites from daily logins and events, and even then i wouldnt really bother much
