I WOULD suggest the HD collection but the episode 3 boss in Sly 1 has music sync issues. It's been years since I played it but I couldn't beat that boss without turning the background music off. lol Everything else about that collection is great, though.
@@eatingmage603 The issue I was having was that I was following the background music to keep rhythm with the rhythm boss. That was throwing me off on the PS3 version because the rhythm wasn't synchronized with the button prompts and I would miss them entirely. Now that I think about it I seem to recall that it just got worse as the fight went on so maybe it was just a bad version of the song. Regardless, AFAIK it never got patched which is damn awful.
I got all the sly cooper games over on ps3 thanks to Amazon for having this such beautiful on the sale. $16 for sly 1-3 game bundle. I brought sly 4 back in 2013 from game stop when I went to DC trip in 8th grade. I wasn’t allow to go to game stop but I didn’t care, I just wanted to buy sly cooper 🤷♂️.
Interesting to spot all the little changes. Even things like Sly’s model. His tail lacks that fuzzy tip, looks more blunt here, and he doesn’t put his cane in his mouth when climbing, so it clips through things occasionally. Little detail changes like this are one of the reasons SP is such a great developer.
Won't lie that key animation is 10x cooler than what we got in the final product Also it seems like the Climbing Engine wasn't fully refined yet when this demo was released, I'm noticing Sly has a tough time grabbing onto objects occasionally even at close range, unlike in the final product of Sly 1 where he basically magnetizes to them even from afar sometimes
Interestingly in the demo you can jump and press the circle button at *any* time to do an attempted climb animation, and it will still play that "whirr" sound effect. You're just so used to hearing that "whirr" followed by the metallic sound of Sly latching onto a ladder, but it leaves you hanging all the time in the demo.
Very odd to see that the checkpoints used to be weasels or some kind of rodents in treasure chests, makes me wonder if the worlds were originally going to have Thematic Checkpoints to the worlds like the final version of the game has Thematic Coin Icons
@@CooperCurse they were supposed to be like journalists! following sly and the gang around like paparazi, i still think they wouldve made a great addition to the game :)
Yup i had one of those demo discs for hte playstation 2 that had this exact game demo on there. It was how i first learned about Sly Cooper. Interesting i found a video on it after so long
10:15 I can’t believe you’ve developed this skill so quickly, that sentence is really good wish it stayed it the final game, it also works with how sly says something like the thievios racconus dosent make great thieves, it takes great thieves to create the thievios racconus to clockwork
I think it was swapped in placement of the dialogue on the Police Department's roof in Paris because the dialogue was kinda cheesy and conflicted with the rest of the dialogue they were dishing out. Honestly personally from all I've viewed so far of the video the Demo has been giving a overall unbalanced feel with its Dialogue Department but the final product did feel a lot more refined
This game is where I started becoming a gamer. Started playing age 12 and now 10 years later I’m still playing this beautiful game and it so much fun better than playing the new cod and games. If u think I’m acting like childish, just play the game on ps3 and see how fun it is bc I had so much good memories.
Absolutely worth getting the Sly Cooper games if you can! They still hold up incredibly well as 3D platformers.

I recently played through them all again because of the spot the held in my childhood and i loved them just as much if not more now
@@Mr.Spongecake iirc, its not sync issues, they just used a completely new song or some variation of the older song for some reason.

Fun Fact: Sly is voiced by Biff Tannens voice actor for the Back to the Future video games in the e3 demo
Thomas f Wilson I think that's his name
@@blazerunner6954 no it’s Kid Beyond who voiced him in the video games of BTTF
@bruhman9111 my mistake I actually have a back to the future game for ps4 but I'm not one for looking in credits to see who voiced who

*Oh boy i can't wait for sly cooper 5 !!!*
So cool how every location has money signs blasting out of them

They were planned to be characters named ''Zig and Zag'' :D

Some of the dialog is better and some is worse but feels like an actual conversation instead of a movie perfect sequence
Ummm memories playing 1 2 and 3 when I found out there was a 4th. Wasn't as good as 1 or 2 but still really good
Hello, this got reccomended to me.
Sly is the type of sarcastic edgy that is likable, top tier game
Edgy Sly
Oh gosh Sly's model
I think it’s better
The golden horse shoe is more golden or looks better here anyways
How did you get this, I wanna play.
Man I thought this was a remaster now I'm sad
Sorry! It's just a demo!
There is technically a "Remaster" but its just a release of sly 1-3 on PS3, called the Sly Collection
Huh the pages and skills you get are in difrent levels
Thought it was a remaster
Sorry! Just a demo!
Sounds like Sly had a different voice actor before the game released
It's the same VA, just using a raspier voice.
The Lord Is Near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit psalm 34:18
Dude why don’t you go to a Christian type video with your religion stuff
I'm going to make you cry.
