In these walkthrough videos I show how to complete all Side-Missions as well as point out the locations of all unlockables (hidden characters, alternate costumes etc).
Mortal Kombat : Deception is my personal favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game. Released in 2004, two years after Deadly Alliance, this game delivers in both quality AND quantity.
The game contains an abundance of 'Kontent'. Not only do we have the traditional one-on-one fighting modes; this game also contains 'Chess Kombat' & 'Puzzle Kombat', two excellent new additions.
Also, Konquest mode makes a return from Deadly Alliance, although here it is a full-blown RPG set in the Mortal Kombat universe. It is the main reason why Deception is my favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game.
A MUST own game for Mortal Kombat fans.

Konquest mode was fun because the player actually got a chance to roam the worlds of mortal kombat rather then just fight fight fight. Plus it allowed the player to learn so much about the story. This should be on Mortal Kombat X.

Some sub missions are incomplete. I have this unknown key and I'm suppose to unlock something but the devs didn't have time to finish it lol

If you take the side quest from tanya and speak to Liu Kanng instead of looking for a cave he will be the one to give you koins, and tanya will not be in her supposed spot

Shao Kahn's size and or stature matters not; what matters is his inner stamina and fitness level. Also , Shujinko isn't a giant (height wise); obviously Midway Studios weren't able to increase Shao Kahn's size and keep the other non-playable characters from growing...at least in my honest opinion. Just look at the loading screen that depicta Shujinko and Shao Kahn's first face to face interview/meeting...in that instance we can clearly see that Shao is much , much larger and bigger that the diminutive traitor known as Shujinko.
Is 5'7" - 5'9" considered average height or not average height for a 34 years old male; case in point, I am around 5'8" - 5'9" tall and I don't feel tiny/small ?! 😂🤣😎🤔
Dmitriy K. Well Shao Kahn is typically depicted as around 7 foot, so anything less than that feels a bit small for him
I always found it hilarious how he was just walking around like a regular NPC, acting like he doesn't really care that he's Shao Kahn.

Konquest is one of my favorite things in all of mk the reason I love this game imagine if the makers would wise up and make another konquest with modern graphics it would be amazing!

The ninja Karasu must have been a reference to midways game from 2000 called the grid. he is one of the contestants and looks like a red futuristic ninja with a katana, but it is difficult to find any actual information about the character because it was only a game for arcade machines.
I loved playing the Konquest mode imln MK Deception, the story is so well made.
Man I hope Konquest makes a return in X. It'd be so damn cool!

+Pero Kokic Konquest is better than Story mode because you can explore all the Realms in Konquest.
Going into this playthrough, and keep in mind I haven't played or watched this game in years, I'd have said that the Sub Zero fight challenge was the hardest in the game. It's def one of them I never even tried.
I think how you beat the Sub-zero challenge is do some damage then try and fight defensively til the timer runs out.

Mileena fight against Jade is so tough. You have to defend yourself against Jade's attacks. You have to defeat her to secure the Outworld Kamidogu.

I remember spending a long, long time with that Sub-Zero challenge. There's a chain combo in there that's damn near impossible to pull of.

The Samurai, on many occasions, rode into great battles carrying one, two, sometimes even three war banners on their back. I think the flags give him more of a Samurai appearance.

Hey GSTAR I just realized something. There is a HUGE plot hole in Mortal Kombat Deception. So this game starts out before Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. But you meet Damashi before that but Damashi is actually (SPOILERS!) The Dragon King Onaga but he took over Reptile's body and as you can see in this video he is right there and his body isn't being taken over by The Dragon King. Onaga was reborn and took over Reptile's body in Deadly Alliance so...yeah...PLOT HOOOOOLE! I love the game and story though.

I think the reason why the houses look vacant is because they’re mostly used for training.
For the fight challenge just do a combo then go to your weapon style

The fabled ice caves was supposed to be a level you could unlock complete with a pit fatal where a worm would eat you at the bottom there was art but no level man I wish they made that level

A UA-camr by the name of Ermaccer was able to stitch much of the level back together from leftover data. No re-enabling of the worm monster though, but the model was found. In the files, it's known as "katakombs".
Shao Kahn looks much shorter in this game than in MK 2 and 3
I've seen someone complete the Sub-Zero fight challenge with Mileena and the timer was almost up with 4 seconds left or 11 seconds and he managed to complete that fight challenge. Luckily 90 seconds is enough time to complete a fight challenge like this although it takes a long time to do just like what you mentioned.

+Rakov Kreviech (Stanley) Hmmm ... that's a tough one, they're all pretty good. I particularly like Netherrealm because it has a chilling/gruesome atmosphere, and I like Edenia alot because it's very peaceful.

I see, i like Edenia alot too, i'm not a big fan of high temperatures but Netherrealm is great indeed. Orderrealm and Outworld are my favorites, i kinda like to walk on air in Orderrealm haha.

I have heard lots about this game and it's rather long konquest mode, but I never seemed interested and I never got to play it. Ive never Understood this but if you notice in the renders, loading screens, art Sub-Zero's default colour is supposed to be light blue yet in combat his default colour is royal blue and his 2 player colour is light blue. Just never understood why that was.
