This really shows how stupid the points format is. Truex and blaney have both been super consistent but one of them is going to finish 17th in points. Utter embarrassment for guys who are actually 4th and 2nd in points.
Hate the playoffs. So dumb that rounds are determined and one singular race can ruin an epic season. I’m glad Larson won last year because he clearly was the best driver last year but we got lucky he didn’t get taken out
I actually wished some rain showers came back before Kimi got caught up in the other drivers mess. Might have been fun to see his old F1 and Rally car skills come onto play in wet/mixed conditions...
Kyles move on Chase was actually pretty brilliant. Knowing Chase is on the outside, Kyle goes into the corner a bit hot knowing he can use Chase to brace himself and push back towards the inside while Chase gets pushed further outside. In the post race interview though, Chase looked like he could have exploded lol!
Chase should have anticipated a move like that coming from Kyle, and slowed down a little more...let the 5 car lock up and dive in hard and then bump the 5 in the left rear sending Larson counterclockwise past the apex and into the gravels. That would be just as clean as the Larson's move using Chase up in the corner. Larson even said many times it wasn't pretty and he wasn't proud of it, and then people get on here and say it was clean. Larson himself said it wasn't clean.
Can't cut corners but running outside one can't really be penalized due to how stupid heavy these cars are and with little down force as well it's even harder to make some of those turns with good speed so getting to run wide some corners makes for more fast paced racing in this case. There are however lots of penalties and plenty were handed out during this race but it's far from as strict as say F1
I was following along to the race up to the point where Kimi got bumped out of the race. I hope the Nascar powers that be will notice the bump in Nascar interest that Kimi brought. I miss Kimi and we are all happy when he does well

Does Chase not have lane choice on that final restart? If so, why in the world did he pick outside line?? Maybe thinking about turn 3? I don't get it...
I was kind of upset about this race we waited hours to start and you can't say the race was in the rain because they waited for it to stop raining, wet track for sure not raining.
