There are lots of these videos on UA-cam, but nobody talks about bras. Tank tops may be implied, but it seems that a tank top’s “straps” would put pressure on the shoulder. What do you do about covering and supporting your breasts?
I’m having surgery on Friday and the bra is my concern. I’m just gonna leave the surgery side strap down, I do have some older ones that are a little stretchy so I’ll use those. I can NOT go with out. So I’ll pretty much be home, except for follow up visits and therapy.
Sadly, my left arm is only marginally better then my right which had a torn bicep tendon. My left arm does not have the mobility to shrug the arm off. Tank tops it is!
Same way as the button up. Dress the injured arm first, pull the tank top all the way up to your injured shoulder then use your good arm to pull it over your head. Usually a tank top like what I am wearing is is large enough to pull on. Hope that helps!

I do not think you have ever been through this surgery. There would be no way to put on a tank top or a bra. The items are best sleeveless or short loose sleeve, large button up shirt, heavy cotton fabrics.
How would you Don/doff a back fastening bra with a conservative treatment of a proximal humeral fracture - with a sling as recommended by her ortho 24/7? 🤦♀️
My hubby bought me front zip type btras but With swelling I won't be able to wear them as they sit on top of where coverings will be I'm not sml size so the girls will be hanging til I can get a comfortable bra on.

Excellent question. I have large breasts and I’m a little too old to go bra-less.

So whats easier with strictly one arm? The button up, or oversized t shirt?
I think the oversized shirt is just because you don't have to deal with buttoning.

That method is no good when you have a total reverse shoulder replacement and you have your arm in a sling
When it comes to sleeves you have to use one hand only.

The key to getting dressed is to not be really overweight...
