she is a Contralto! The first time l heard her dark voice l thought for a minute it was a man, the way she used her voice, all chest tones. I looked up the score, the highest note is only G4. She sang everything including the G4 in pure chest voice. Suspicion confirmed. The G4 note on a Contralto is always very pronounced, much stronger compared to other females. It's always pitch black in color and heavy, even androgynous. The Contralto mixed/belting range starts at this note and a couple of notes above that and as a Contralto myself, it is a note l default to. I know I'm not the only one. Cher for example, Amy in this performance, Lisa Gerrard... The Contralto voice is always so deep, mournful/grave and affecting. Everything they sing literally have more gravity and weight to it. A truly compelling, criminally underrated voice.

Sometimes I think her live performances were better than her masters which not a lot of singers can do these days. She made it look so effortless. She is terribly missed! Loved this one!

Not only her singing but also the performance itself is very different from famous singers. Her facial expressions, she does not fake anything, she sings whatever she wants. She does not beautify herself. She does not smile. She does not pose for impress. She does not even hold the microphone. She simply stands and sings in total naturalness. The pain comes out of her. An amazing talent and a real artist with big pain while being famous killed her.
Without a doubt she was one of the greatest talents of our time she was so underrated while she was alive such a shame people couldn't see past her personal life she was amazing love her so much xx
