Sound's like my boyfriend every time I try to leave he acts like he care by not letting me leave he's 6'6 438lbs and he'll stand in front of the door crying. He also creates arguments and then say I start them. I lost myself in this relationship. One of my biggest regret is letting him stay with me. He was living with his cousin and his cousin wife and kids. I should of known better. He doesn't care about me til I'm ready to leave or when I cry cause I'm just so fed up. My dad is one and as a child of them, the damage he has done to me mentally and physically is way too much. I finally ended the relationship after 4 years with my narc. I couldn't deal with the BS anymore... Sometimes when you break up with them you go through the "crack head" phase because you are addicted to them.... Understand that you deserve a real man. Love yourself enough to leave. He's charming, intelligent, God-fearing, and extremely giving to people. He would literally give the shirt off his back to a stranger. If he sees you struggling or having a hard time, no matter the place, he'd stop and pray for you. But in a relationship with me, psshhhhhhh I get none of that goodness. He admitted that he might have made a mistake but he refused to apologize, even after he saw me crying badly. Then he would "mistakenly" call me someone else's name and claim it was accidental...I nipped that in the bud by doing the same thing to him and it magically stopped. It didn't take me long to realize that he called me "Baby" because it was difficult for him to keep up...he was seeing so many women at once, he couldn't remember my name.

Man, this really hits home. I'm in a relationship with a narcissist I think. He was so charming and sweet in the beginning but it quickly changed whenever the catering to all his needs stage was over and I had needs I wanted fulfilled. He would throw tantrums, or have all out angry outbursts where he would yell and me and call me awful names. It was like Jekyl and Hyde, he would all of a sudden become this other person who wasn't the man I fell in love with. He even tried convincing me, when I would attempt to talk about things or fix our relationship, that I had abusive tendencies and that somehow it was my fault. He literally took no ownership of the abuse he was constantly doling out, and it drove me insane. It's so dangerous to date someone like this.

Anger comes with the healing process but we can't allow it to consume us. We must let go and let God take control. I dated a narcissist who was super good looking like a knight in shiny armor. initially presented as charming, kind, wanted everything I wanted in a relationship, especially marriage. After one year and a half I started talking about progression, growth, and evolving the relationship. He did a 180 completely. I felt drained that I was doing all the work. He started gaslighting, love bombing, punishing me by ignoring, deflecting telling me I was selfish, all I cared about was looks, say things to try and make me feel bad about myself, I could go on and on. One day after praying I discovered a Video on UA-cam on being an Empath. That video led to the type of men I attract that are toxic to me. I couldn’t believed he completely fit the profile! I broke up with him and went no contact. It was so hard, and the first boundary I had ever stood on! Thank God I got out with minimal damage, just a broken heart and disappointment. I know it wasn’t me!

The last couple seconds of this video really got me in tears because before I met my narcissist ex I was extremely happy (living my best life & focused on me) and my self esteem was the highest it had EVER been in my entire life and then I met my ex and he completely broke me so ladies please listen!!!! He never took accountability for anything and everything was my fault. He drained me financially, emotionally, spiritually and I nearly had a nervous breakdown and died. I was suicidal. I was brainwashed by his isolation and warped way of thinking. God saved me...he was the only way out
You sound like me. It's very hard to deal with. It's like the person isn't even there. Like no heart. When I try to say how I feel on anything he instantly freaks out and attacks me. He is perfect in his eyes and how dare I have anything else to say.
I'm sorry you had to go through that. I went through the same thing and I'm actually trying to remove myself from this person's life. I found myself at one point almost killing myself because I felt alienated, I was financially drained, lost my success, absolutely everything. The more I read up on narcissistic behavior is when I woke up and gradually started to wake up to what was happening. Everyone in my life saw what was happening, still does. I hope you heal and find peace because I'm sure that may have been a traumatic experience for you.

Sound's like my boyfriend every time I try to leave he acts like he care by not letting me leave he's 6'6 438lbs and he'll stand in front of the door crying. He also creates arguments and then say I start them. I lost myself in this relationship. One of my biggest regret is letting him stay with me. My dad is one and as a child of them, the damage he has done to me mentally and physically is way too much. I finally ended the relationship after 4 years with my narc. I couldn't deal with the BS anymore... Sometimes when you break up with them you go through the "crack head" phase because you are addicted to them.... Understand that you deserve a real man. Love yourself enough to leave. The grass is always greener on the other side when you're not with the narc. Something that helps me is writing down all the terrible things he did. When ever I feel like I want to go back or I'm thinking of him, I look at what I wrote.... I never had a guy treat me like he did. I wasted a lot of time and I lost myself. Omg.... I'm dealing with one. 2 years later and I've just begun opening up to ppl closest to me and they cant believe it when I reveal who he is behind closed doors. He's charming, intelligent, God-fearing, and extremely giving to people. He would literally give the shirt off his back to a stranger. If he sees you struggling or having a hard time, no matter the place, he'd stop and pray for you. But in a relationship with me, psshhhhhhh I get none of that goodness. I don't get the amazing guy I met. Instead I get the evil, I'm going to make you suffer and punish you for walking the wrong way, saying the wrong thing, etc.
Oh my gush that is my husband, he is a very dedicated church member and to all the parishioners they think he is the most wonderful man in the world. He even told me one of the older ladies told him she wished her husband had been so kind and considerate. Let me tell you how ruthless he is, we got into an argument one day, I told him that he really hurt my feelings. He admitted that he might have made a mistake but he refused to apologize, even after he saw me crying badly. He sat there and made up in his mind he wasn't going to say he was sorry he didn't care how much I cried. Now how messed up was that someone that's suppose to love you.

Then he would "mistakenly" call me someone else's name and claim it was accidental...I nipped that in the bud by doing the same thing to him and it magically stopped. It didn't take me long to realize that he called me "Baby" because it was difficult for him to keep up...he was seeing so many women at once, he couldn't remember my name.

My ex Narc proposed to me while he was already engaged to someone else, then he gave me her ring. He got me pregnant, cheated, proposed to the side piece, then got the side piece pregnant. To me, it doesn't make sense to tie oneself to someone permanently if you just want to use them, yaknow?

Man, this really hits home. I'm in a relationship with a narcissist I think. He was so charming and sweet in the beginning but it quickly changed whenever the catering to all his needs stage was over and I had needs I wanted fulfilled. He would throw tantrums, or have all out angry outbursts where he would yell and me and call me awful names. It was like Jekyl and Hyde, he would all of a sudden become this other person who wasn't the man I fell in love with. He even tried convincing me, when I would attempt to talk about things or fix our relationship, that I had abusive tendencies and that somehow it was my fault. He literally took no ownership of the abuse he was constantly doling out, and it drove me insane. It's so dangerous to date someone like this.

After being in relationship with my husband for years, he broke up with me. Anger comes with the healing process but we can't allow it to consume us. We must let go and let God take control. Narcissists are very miserable creatures that have not only tried to destroy the lives of past partners, but include family members, friends, co workers, and even clergy. I dated a narcissist who was super good looking like a knight in shiny armor. initially presented as charming, kind, wanted everything I wanted in a relationship, especially marriage. After one year and a half I started talking about progression, growth, and evolving the relationship. He did a 180 completely. I felt drained that I was doing all the work. He started gaslighting, love bombing, punishing me by ignoring, deflecting telling me I was selfish, all I cared about was looks, say things to try and make me feel bad about myself, I could go on and on. One day after praying I discovered a Video on UA-cam on being an Empath. That video led to the type of men I attract that are toxic to me. I couldn’t believed he completely fit the profile! I broke up with him and went no contact. It was so hard, and the first boundary I had ever stood on! Thank God I got out with minimal damage, just a broken heart and disappointment. I know it wasn’t me!

The last couple seconds of this video really got me in tears because before I met my narcissist ex I was extremely happy (living my best life & focused on me) and my self esteem was the highest it had EVER been in my entire life and then I met my ex and he completely broke me so

I have 2 major things to spot the narcissist:
Lack of empathy and if he doesn't take "no" for an answer (predator). Finally we just have to trust our instinct if you feel something is wrong.

He came up with STD's. But thank God I was wise enough not to sleep with him after i got pregnant the 2nd time so I was spared. He never took accountability for anything and everything was my fault. He drained me financially, emotionally, spiritually and I nearly had a nervous breakdown and died. I was suicidal. He was constantly throwing other wine in my face and the verbal abuse was extremely,extremelyex horrible. Being with him was pure Hell! Oh and everyone around me saw it. I was brainwashed by his isolation and warped way of thinking. God saved me...he was the only way out

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I went through the same thing and I'm actually trying to remove myself from this person's life. I found myself at one point almost killing myself because I felt alienated, I was financially drained, lost my success, absolutely everything. The more I read up on narcissistic behavior is when I woke up and gradually started to wake up to what was happening. Everyone in my life saw what was happening, still does. I hope you heal and find peace because I'm sure that may have been a traumatic experience for you.
