This is long so bear with me. Hello. For the past year or two I have been watching your videos. Since I was young I have had a crippling fear of tarantulas. I would be instantly disgusted when looking at them. Anytime I would see a small spider I would immediately have a panic attack. At one point I slept in a different room in our house for several months because a small house spider crawled near my head. When I found your channel I was very curious as to how someone could be so fascinated by such a creepy creature. The video that sparked my interest was the one about your jumping spider Kiwi. I was surprised to hear myself saying how cute he was and my fear calmed and my interest was peaked. Over time of watching your videos and seeing your passion for them I started to watch more and more. As I watched you handle, care for and talk about how wonderful they are, I started to come to like them. Over this past weekend I traveled to my local reptile convention with my girlfriend and found a booth dedicated to tarantulas. Seeing so many different species of varying sizes made me feel so much more intrigued in them. I decided that it was time to embrace my fear and I purchased my first tarantula. I have been mesmerized by watching him work and just exist, I say “he” for ease of use as I am not sure of his sex yet. Your passion and excitement about these magnificent creatures turned me from an arachnophobe to a passionate keeper. I wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart for helping me see the beauty in something so many deem scary and ugly.
Petko is my absolute favorite!! I absolutely love the enclosures he creates. I watch DD videos every day. Inspired me to get my first T; now I'm up at 9... no casualties so far!!

yeah... those haplocosmia himalayana spoods... i got a mature girl and when i tried to rehouse her out of her box, she jumped onto my brush and immediately bit it... she left 2 big blobs of venom on the brush. i almost got an heart attack! 🤣 mean mean spider but like you said they are gorgeous. one would need to see them in person! 😊
My absolute admiration for you. To be able people to overcome the fear and become admirers of arachnids is a gift. Although I have no worries with them, many do. I thank you for these excellent videos. Education is the key to unlocking the door to allow fear to escape. Making it fun is the sign of a good teacher. I wait for every new one. To the veiwers, let the ads run, even if you hate them. It gets the cash to make more video's. Thank you all, too, if you please will do just that one thing......

I loved the intro lol. & one of my favorite parts in the beginning was when he said to the roach "there is no help, no help for you honey, uh uh" lmao. The double take down was great, I watched that a few times. Nice hair cut btw
If you want the avicularia away from the door, you could move or change the corkbark to give her a different option. You could also clean the front door and dust it with babypowder/talkum like an ant enclosure. This will make it slippery for her and she most likely make her webbing elsewhere.
Hi 👋🕷 I would like to know, my female Gramastola Pulchripes adult has webbed up her cave for winter. She is drinking water, but should I feed her through hibernation as well? Difficult to get grub into her cave without it digging and disappearing. Thanks any assistance on Chaco winter feeding would be appreciated. ive heard a lot about how Grammostola actaeons are aggressive but i had no choice but to handle mine as a juvenile and she was ok with it and i have continued to not be afraid of a bite from her
