@@TheDarkDen Hey, your content is my favorite! :D
I just rehoused my three M. Balfouri (communal), and may have borrowed some tips and terrarium ideas from you ;) Thank you for everything!
Lol funny
G is for, "Gotta run now," says the hissing roach.
@@thebaconbrotato Haha I like it. Maybe "EE" can be "Expeditious Escape!" 😂
Have you properly quarantined the L. megatheloides enclosure? Linda's behaviour was really weird, reminds me of early parasitic infection signs. You should take a look at her chelicerae ventrally. If you spot some weird ooze, that might be worrying...
Hope all your Ts are ok!
This needs more likes so Petko sees it. I didn't think of that.
I'm personally going to go with roach might have been a bit to big or tough (ever the optimist lol) but I would definitely do a check because you never know!!!
Please like to boost!
Yes, that thing crossed my mind...that's why I got worried :s
@@TheDarkDen I think she just got a bit spooked from the hisser and it made her unsure, like how when they realise they catch something that isn't food they stop eating it. Lots of species are prone to this, even the greedy species.
@@Falloutman216 I agree with you, until such time as unusual behaviour could be identified suggesting parasites then I'm also thinking she got herself spooked, we have an adult female Lp and she did the exact same with a hisser, as soon as those fangs hit and didn't penetrate she let go and backed off, almost identical to Linda in this vid so no cause to worry until there's something to worry about.
Wow that T.Stirmi is stunning! I also used to keep those hissers as a kid. I had about six of them. I will be getting a spider when I move and will probably feel a bit sad if I have to feed her those lol x
Thor is like "i know where that roach go but i wont tell you" with the smile hahahaha
I hope everything is ok with Linda❤️ She is best girl✨
I always worry when you’re feeding hissers to things. In my 20+ years keeping, I’ve seen so many tarantulas injure their fangs on them. They really should never be used for feeders due to the risk. It doesn’t happen every time, but when it does, it’s awful.
@@SkyeSpider 90% of the time, it's fine. But that's still a bit of a risk. I won't even feed crickets, because of their strong jaws. Lats and occasional worms only.
She really is!!!

When I came and waited for my ad to finish I saw this comment and kinda freaked out but I guess everything is alright
Edit: Nevermind I see what you're talking about now
When you find him, you should keep him and name him Houdini. Not only did he survive Linda, but he escaped Petko and prevented his death to another tarantula. LONG LIVE HOUDINI.
Houdini died lol
@@vaughnzimmerman1890 He will live on forever in my heart where he has a plastic skull in his terrarium lol
Awesome shirt my dude! You had me cracking up in this video...hillarious stuff...those fighting assasin bugs 😂😂😂
@Dixie Normus I saw that! I wish I didn't have to work 😔
Yeah, some weirdo gave it to me :P
@tarantulacollective and @darkden the best of the best, imagine a video together, that would be epic
@@jesusaguero306 That's a dream! Although I enjoy Tom Moran as well. Those three are the best.

*But not for me*
Only 30 likes justin. Looks like your slowly dying.
Dude I have literally seen you everywhere. This is awesome
Her color is sooooo beautiful. That thing hissed and Lynda DROPPED AND RAN
OMG THAT IS HILARIOUS!!!
I have several tags from assassin bugs (my favourite terrarium species), and I gotta say it's the most painful bite I got so far - felt like bullet ant but shorter duration.
Thank you so much for showing us the spiny assassin bugs, I've been asking for ages to see them! 😁 So funny! Thank you for another great clip!
Looks like you'll need a Linda sized catch... bucket at some point in the future.
That wink from Thor at 7:10 is so adorable 😂
It sure is :3
I know that was so funny
Notice he didn't start squinting until he was being spoken too like MUST YOU
IM TRYING TO RELAX OVER HERE YO
GO AWAY
LOL
You could let Despacito loose in the Dark Den... He'd find the roach 😄
That's what I do in the summer - I catch geckos outside and bring them into the house so they can clean everything out.
@@headrockbeats that sounds adorable just watching a bunch of geckos spilling out into a room and up the walls to catch insects
@@louthinator LOL I wish it was like that. It's more like one gecko running out of a box and disappearing behind some piece of furniture, never to be seen again. xD
@@headrockbeats thats a shame, maybe you should build a bunch of tubes for them with running from the box leading to the walls
start the running of the geckos XD
@@louthinator I just found one - it drowned in a bucket. ;..(
I was thinking of getting a Grammostola pulchra, as my first T. There’s just something about the velvety jet black look is what’s appealing and love their temperament.
They are beautiful, and make a good first species. Personally, I'd recommend a Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens or a Caribena versicolor, but I like colorful tarantulas lol
Sean Rallis Indeed, those are great species to start off too, especially for their aesthetics. I was also looking to getting a Grammostola pulchripes as well and the Green Bottle Blue of course. Lots of great looking T’s to start with! It’s just a matter where I can place them. ;////
@@thesteelbutterfly are you in the US? If so, I would highly recommend Jamie's Tarantulas. As a second option, I would reccomend FearNot Tarantulas. Both should have what you want in stock.
I’m currently trying to pursued my gf to let me have a grammostola pulchra, she’s not having none of it. I’m gonna have to go to plan b soon and hide an enclosure somewhere.
@@seanrallis6714 That's funny to me! I got my first tarantula May 7th, C. Cyaneopubescens. A little sling. She's about 1.5 inches atm. In november there's a reptile expo a few hours drive away, hoping to get my 2nd and 3rd ts. A G. Pulchra and a C. Versicolor. Just amused me that i plan to own the 3 talked about by end of the year.
Poor Linda!! Hopefully everything is ok! Were looking forward to having you on our Tarantula tuber Saturday night takeaway live stream tonight!! Woop woop your videos are where it all started for us 🤘🤘
I'm a new subscriber, your tarantulas are gorgeous. Linda is such a unique animal.
I was so looking forward to this video. Thank you Petko for all that you do. You always make my Monday’s and Friday’s so much brighter. 😃
This channel helps me with my arachnophobia, I love it, thakyou DarkDen 😁😁
Same!
I love your English so much Petko. It’s so precious.
Been watching you for ages and you never fail to cheer me up!
Those two spiny assassin guys clearly have a pact that they both hate each other and stay opposite ends of the enclosure at all times but then you introduced the roach and all hell broke lose 😂
Absolutely love love love videos of Linda and I hope she doing alright!🥰
Dude....you're hilarious!! This was the best vid! I never know what you're gonna do next! Your vids make my day!🕷🖤
Started watching a week and a half ago, and I just picked up a T. albopilosum from a friend today! Thank you for your content, you're an inspiration!
Best kind of videos, one that’s not expected to go down the way one wants but in the end turned out to be a great video.
Oldie but goldie ☺️ brilliant video 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I started laughing when the assassin bugs started fighting and you lost the roach, oh my god, those guys are absolutely insane!! ahahahahaahah

Awesome video!! Your videos has helped me with my fear of tarantulas :)
Love your videos Petco my arachnophobia is nearly cured thanks to you keep doing your stuff.
I love seeing this. We see these comments on most of his videos. Next, you'll be getting your first tarantula lol
🤣 linda is so cool, the roach ran for its life outta there 😅 i love your videos dudee
The man who bring me into this hobby.
I always wanted one and I managed to keep a curly hair sling in my room without my parents knowing. Had it for about a year and then they discovered it. My buddy kept it and it lived another year and a half and it ended up being a male... After that tarantula died I found the Dark Den and then I went out and got a female pink toe and a chaco golden knee sling. Still have both :)
My absolute favorite channel!! Thank you for everything Dark Den :)
0:32 “Dad your taking too long, I’m going back to my room🙄”-Linda🕷
Should let that hissed live, he earned living from that mission impossible escape plan.
lol, I thought the same thing... that big boi really beat the odds getting away from all that! definitely deserves to be a pet roach... I mean, Petko keeps all kinds of invertebrates, so why not right? now we need to name him.... Radroach maybe? im kinda an Bethesda nerd... and that roach proved hes rad, plus hes really big...
That gramastola pulchra is absolutely fabulous!
The trying to convince the roach makes me sad :0 noooo poor babyyy
please say "nuclear vessel powered by venom" in that wonderful accent
When you said "one that everyone loves and wants to own" I thought you were talking about Kiwi.
It's never fun if something escapes, but with feeders that can be even more difficult. I once lost a cricket and it was so hard finding and catching it!
when it shot to the roach bailing off the table during the drama, i laughed so fn hard
Just hearing all that loud noise she made inside that catch cup. Can you imagine hearing that walking on the floor and you're in bed in the dark? And you can't see it ...but you could hear it? On my God that's going to give me a nightmare
Linda is freaking huge😲
Edit: I love tiny tarantula feedings
Petco begins explaining Feeding
Linda: right iam gonna head out🤣
As always awesome video. Thanks for the info and the Smiles.
4:45 - "But he is huge! How did I lost him?" 🤣🤣🤣 Your videos rock!
She is camera shy.....she will eventually get hungry.......nice video man.........I want to see you feed her a small centipede.
I took a bite from a Common Wheel bug (Arilus cristatus) when I was a teenager. It was the most painful experience I've had. Took several months for the effects to completely diminish. While cool bugs, I stay away from assassin bugs.
I dont even wait...i just thumbs it up...you da man
Another great video! They are the highlight of my week!
Love tarantulas so love your channel
We have Assassin bugs in Virginia (U.S.). But they are grey and we call them Wheel bugs bc of the wheel looking thing near it's head.
Love the feeding videos I re watch some of the older feeding videos it never gets old 🔥 hope Linda is okay
Yes I love seeing Linda! Wish we could've seen the A genicular though, they're always fun to feed 😂 I hope the C versicolour baby is doing good though ❤️
After watching that poor roach being lied to, Petko might be a bad tour guide to foreign tourist. Petko says "Sure that bar is fine, just go in and see". LOL.
Lol love how u lied to the roach bout the food 🤣 🤣 🤣. "Right, guys!?"
I'm new to the channel and cannot stop consuming content!
Super fun and entertaining...as always! Love your videos!
If i didn't look forward to these videos every Monday and Friday I would have missed that youtube unsubscribed me... glad I caught that
I noticed that tranchulas like to be fed at 2 a.m. in the morning when it's still dark but that's still morning to
Anyone else noticed since he moved into the latest place things have started to die and look/act sick?
the smile on that lizards face.......he ate the roach !
Loving the Dark Den Friday feels! And Linda - she's gorgeous 💟
It seemed like she may have hurt her fangs. She could only manage to pierce the soft belly of the roach.
Linda is a legend!
Whoah! I was really worried that Linda might be hurt and not be able to feed until after her next molt!
Excellent! The big and hopefully pregnant roach escaped, so now you'll have home bred to feed your Tarantulas for years to come.
I wish I could like this twice. Hilarious video!! love you Petko!
It is amazing that she ate after she escaped and got stressed out
If I'm not mistaken tarantulas are usually coloured to match there habitat surroundings so as to blend in and not be spotted until it's to late for prey to react while hunting or to hide from potential predators yet i might be mistaken but they are all stunning in there own ways in my opinion that is
For a minute there I thought you were gona brake out a white board to smack XD Poor Linda, she probably did bump her toothys a bit on the hissing roach but she seemed to be ok after so hopefully no real damage done. What a crazy upload lol
I fed my P. cambridgei a big specimen of the small cave roach (Blaberus atropos). I wasnt thinking.😬
So I stayed close by to separate them if necessairy.
She fought a day and won.
Now she has a HUGE abdomen!
😅
Thanks for cheering up my days!
Enjoyed it as always, man!
I like how this video did not all go as planned but still had the 'G' content😄
Linda inspired me to get my own T. stirmi! I now have a beautiful female who is about the same size. Can’t wait for them to get bigger!!
I dig that you're wearing a Tarantula collective shirt!
Damn Petko, this footage particularly Grammastola pulchra was gorgeous!
If the carapace is to tough, you could try giving Linda Hornworm Caterpillers. Anyway, Magnificent Tarantula.
Croatian spider collector Gordon Freeman is my new favorite UA-camr
Great video man!
That was a fun video lol. Nice to see Thor and Assassin guys. Hopefully we can se some of the other bugs you have in another feeding video soon. Oh maybe Linda might enjoy some of those big soft blue worms if her fangs are having issues? Do you still have the Death beetles i think they were called? The blue ones?
*not even five minutes in*
**roach vanishes**
17:04
Huahini holding her leg up is equivalent to sticking a pinky up when you sip😂🤣
I think you're right about her fangs, those roaches are VERY tough, they're designed to deflect attacks like that and they can be difficult for some spiders to bite while alive. Maybe find a humane way of subduing them a bit, and offer them on their backs, belly up where the exoskeleton isn't so tough? Then again I don't think she'd react to a slower or still one. Or try feeding in tongs belly first? So her fangs can get in easier x
my juvenile brachipelma hamorii did something similar once
usually she is a really good eater, sometimes bodyslams like a geniculata
but that one time she attacked her cricket and then ran away from it
i left her alone after that and she was eating the next day
i guess linda will be fine
4:01 he is like ,,yeah that was fun guys, but imma head out"
Great video once again 🕷👍
I was worried about that spelling that thingy!!!!
lol I didn't know hissing roaches flew lol
You sat down and looked up like you expected to see the roach
Linda is the queen of the den
Early in the morning, watching the Dark Den. Great way to start the day. ✌️🇵🇭

A brchypelma Hamorii
And a beatifull irminia female.
