Hickok45 videos are filmed on my own private shooting range and property by trained professionals for educational and entertainment purposes only, with emphasis on firearms safety and responsible gun ownership. We are NOT in the business of selling firearms or performing modifications on them. Do not attempt to copy at home anything you see in our videos. Firearms can be extremely dangerous if not used safely.
Hickock is an actual legend. With all the heavy editing on other channels, sometimes the look, feel, and sound of the firearm gets lost in the process. With Hickock you're getting the most accurate representation of the firearm. Was excited to see this one, Staccato CS is the dream pistol of most.
You sir are a National treasure. The Mister Rogers of the gun community.
YAY! Best start to a Tuesday is a new Hickok45 video!
My daily EDC is a C2. It doesn't have the same buttery slide as the bigger comp pieces, but I absolutely love it. I'm 6'3, 250 and it's comfy to carry while still being heavy enough for me to really like shooting it. The 1911 is my favorite platform, but the addition of a double stack mag makes it absolutely perfect, (for me).
I was issued a 1911 while on active duty and that dang thing was older than my dad and it was worn out! Thus, I despise them and have no interest in trying another one!
@@goodcitizen64 and here I love my well aged 1911’s!
@@goodcitizen64 u crazy lol...u cant base all 1911 & 2011 on a old (probably worth alot) issued 1911
I hated em to just hate manual saftey and grip safties.. But alas its easy to train it out, as u draw sweeping the safty becomes natural. But that was my issue.. I simple rubber band or some some. Hockey tape. Takes care of the grip saftey till it getd pinned
And id still carry cocked and locked without grip safety
I've been carrying a Staccato CS for awhile now and I absolutely love it. I was able to snag a Trijicon RCR to go on top of it. It's an awesome little shooter!
I was looking at one about 2wks ago, is it truly worth that price? because, it looked and felt great, that was my first time actually seeing and holding one.
@@Mr9thCHYLD I believe it's worth it. YMMV
It’s hard to pull the trigger when it’s $2500, whereas the prodigy comp is $1600
@@ethandean206 I understand.
Have an rcr on my c2 absolutely love it.
My mom really hates guns but I love them I think they are really cool. I love watching these videos because I want to be like you when I’m older. You are a real inspiration
Same, I'm finally starting to get to the point where I can start my collection, after years I finally convinced my parents to cosign my foid card (it's a dumb Illinois thing) and get a home defense shotgun, in a half a year I'll be 21 and start training for my CCL!
Illinoisan here also i was just like you fellas. Jack ypu should look online and see if there are any trap shooting leauges great and safe for kids I did it very early on. It will typically be a single shot shot gun and is the safest sport with virtually no injuries last time I was in competition there were zero gun related injuries may help get your mom on board. Often times if you don't have a shot gun there is one that they will lend you especially in your situation. Ideally you would rent or borrow a little .22 rifle to shoot but mom may not on board with that. If you start with trap dont be intimidated by the recoil most guns are not that way they do recoil a bit more but in general are safer than most any other firearm.
@@Larrylamirius I'm looking into the savage mark II as my first plinking 22 and a tactical nomad single shot 20g to start introducing my younger siblings into the sport! With you all the way on that one!
@@Larrylamirius Thanks! This means a lot dude.
@noaholt976 if you are actually wanting to compete in would definitely recommending to save up and get a decent 12 gauge the ting about 20 gauge is they are typically so light and short barreled (if you get something like a light youth or short barrel model) that the recoil alot more than a decent 12 gauge. I started with a small 20 gauge and couldn't hit much because it was a light fixed choke one with a short barrell. So smaller shot pattern and it kicked harder they convinced me to try a heavy 12 gauge with a long barrell and it kicked way less and I was actually hitting the pigeons. So if it's just for you and even if it's a little awkward at first I would recommend a shot gun with atleast a 28 in barrell and has some weight to it to soak up some of the recoil. Because at competition when you are shooting 200-400 rounds if you are feeling beat up it is hard to stay accurate. However if you have small people to introduce and teach too you may need a small youth shotgun but I would almost recommend smaller than 20 ga like 4-10 20 gauge youth models thump though still have the gun and still kicks the trap out of me. Not sure what a tactical single shot 20ga is though maybe it would be better.
I have been carrying the 2023 cs for over the last year, it is by far my favorite weapon. It took a lot of saving to finally purchase it and I have been in love ever since. This is one of those guns that killed my addiction to buying other pistols, hard to beat it.
the best channel in UA-cam
This channel is why UA-cam was made. Origin days of UA-cam had quality videos like this
The motto used to be "Broadcast Yourself". He took it to heart.
Correct
I have an older STI and 4 Staccato’s. One of my carry guns is the CS and I compete USPSA with the XC. I love my Staccato’s!
bought a staccato P a month ago. 500 rounds in already, it's been real fun and smooth
Same here
I picked up a Staccato C2 a year ago - it’s been 100% reliable for over 2,000 rounds (95% reloads). Great pistol and is my daily carry workhorse. I’ve small hands, and it’s thick…yet shoots great and dampens recoil. I trust it more than my G19.
RIP Ed Brown
Passed away yesterday.
Sorry to hear that!
Damn.
Wow, this hit me. Didn't expect that.
thanks for introducing me to ballistol back in 2010, i really love it on a slice of toast every morning.
I hear it really helps lubricate ones’ digestion 😂
@@YourHandleHere84 yep, no constipation at all!
Been shooting a Staccato P with a DPP in 3 gun for years, ordered the C when it came out a few months ago and added a Trijicon RCR as my carry gun since it was the same manual of arms as what I shoot most weekends, put a bunch of rounds through it without issue and have been carrying it since. Don’t feel I need other pistols at this point because these are the only two I want to shoot.
Nice to see something new (newer, at least) on the channel. The are so many cool, innovative guns coming out now.
Just picked up a P and a C2 last week. Glad to see you made a video about staccato.
2024 Staccato C will full size grip, flat trigger, dlc 17+1 Awesome gun just picked one up last week.
you just picked it up or you bought it? I've picked up a bunch of em !

then you put it down because mommy said it cost too much 😂
Love watching the OG guntuber, been watching since the beginning since I lived in Shepherdsville KY. It warms my heart to see the types and verity that you get especially the new stuff that no one else gets. Love the videos
Taco Tuesday with a Staccato C and Hickok 45 🇺🇸
I have the staccato p with a sure fire x300 with a holosun 507c optic and i absolutely love it. I added slide serrations, DLC coating and threaded barrel . Over priced yeah probably but a beautiful gun. shoots fantastic and the slides like being on bearings. I have a iwb and owb holster from las concealment with a kore tactical belt this is my EDC gun. I’ll never buy a pistol that cost this much again. So I went all out with all the options. Don’t shoot want if you don’t want to buy one. That’s how they got me lol I wasn’t looking for one. But loved it
I have a P, C2, and XC. Well said Hickok. Another thing, they really support and market towards LE/MIL nowadays too!
Florence, Tx is also where Hayes customs are located and if you think a Staccato is pricey check them out.
6:09 Gotta watch out for homeland 😂😂
This is clearly the best way to start a day
Hey Hickok, now that you shot this Staccato C, I’d like to see you compare it to the CS. It’s a shorter barrel at 3.5" but surprisingly butter smooth in my opinion. It makes for a perfect EDC. Your comparison video would be interesting to hear.
WOW, I have been waiting for this in a long time, thank you! If you can do more Staccatos- please do!
It’s kind of crazy that the pistol world has basically gone full circle from 1911’s all the way back to modified 1911’s
@@portersorensen8814 there will be 1911’s still in use in 2111.

Those mags load up to 15 and seat in the gun no problem. Though I do the same thing with most guns. Not my staccato’s. I’ve never had too.
I have a Staccato P with the Ice comp, I enjoy it very much. One of the best shooting guns before you get into custom pistols.

You should definitely do a shoot around with CZ Shadow 2 compact
I bought one of those about two months ago; I haven’t gotten a chance to shoot it yet, but it’s a nice looking gun and feels great in the hand. I’d also love to hear what Hickok45 thinks of it.
I’d rather see a Cajunized CZ P-01.
@KonaLife those have been out for years, who hasn't seen one? The nocturne is all the rage right now from CZ.
Stopped carrying my c2 as my main carry, the shadow 2 compact is now my main carry.

You da man hickok! Thanks for the review!
I do not believe I have ever seen him miss, let alone so many times.

@@goodcitizen64 I think Hikok45 misses on purpose so that we mortals don't feel so bad about our shooting abilities😋

I just paused the video to check on the price. Ahhh a Glock is pocket change.
Here's the thing about that. I have had brand new magazines that didn't like being full I had to go half until spring broke In. But then again I never allowed them to get broken in so I'm not sure if they did eventually function on full mags or not.
Or if my firearm didn't like hmj I would load fmj, hmj, fmj, hmj and it would cycle nicely.
I have the C2. It's such a smooth trigger. And yes, $$$, but worth it
I believe the mag change is the result of a slimmer grip, not an issue with the original mags. Staccato P and C2 models run 100% with 17 rounds mags, the C2 can accept 16 round mags of course.
I have a 2024 C and CS and I love them! Both tack drivers, almost cheating with how accurate they are
Such a badass old man‼️ it’s been a minute since I’ve tapped in with you. But we back‼️🔥🔥🙏🏽👍🏽
Favorite pistols. 1911, 2011. As I was shopping the g smith showed me a 1,500 Dollar Kimber and that thing was butter. Wish I could have bought it but I would have been paying on that for a minute
That looks rather think for a double stack which makes me love it.
If it only took a minute to pay for it I would have bought it right then
How much do the staccatos run?
@@brianmurphy250 way above my military retirement pay!

I’m a firm believer that ALL 2011 style pistols these days should be coming with external extractors, especially the ones over 1,500 bucks.
Great video. The Los Pollos Hermanos cameo was sweet 💯
BANG !
I carry a Staccato P as a duty pistol. I recently picked up a Staccato C 17 round pistol. I think I like it more than my P model. I may change my duty carry.

Hickok deserves a Staccato!
Great fun for de fence. Very funny.
Question about your gong target, what size is it? I have a 8" and it really does not make much sound. Yours sounds great, where did you get it? Thank you
Feels like watching bob Ross paint something he don’t like that much. Goodnight hickock 45. Wherever you are

finally! I wanted to see how the C looked in hickok's massive hands.
LOL A GLOCK Compared to a STACCOTO??? Love Ya Guy!!!
I've never been a good shot with pistols or shotguns(flying skeet), because I didn't get to practice much. I've mostly used rifles, revolvers and SMGs, and even those more than 40 years ago.
I'm just curious. Would a rotating barrel pistol mechanism be the best? Theoretically, It should have far lesser wear than a locking-block pistol and far better accuracy than a tilting barrel one? I think even HK had a problem with the fixed barrel, roller delayed blow-back P9, which apparently resulted in buffer issues, so is no longer in production.
And wouldn't a hammer-fired pistol have a longer life than a striker fired pistol because It uses a leaf spring, as opposed to a coil spring? And the mass of the hammer should also make a difference?
Would a hammer be significantly slower than a striker, because it still has to travel that distance; and nano seconds could make the difference between life and death in real encounters?
A pistol with an enclosed hammer would protect it from dirt and accidental impact-discharges, so you wouldn't even need to de-cock unless you wanted to.
I'm old school; have never used a pistol without a thumb-safety; and am not gun-obsessed so can be forgetful since the procedures haven't been drilled into my head via regular routines; besides I also have small children, and as a result can't even dream of owning a pistol without a manual safety.
Thumb-safety empowers you to carry a pistol loaded and cocked, and, yet, relatively safe.
A de-cocker enables you to carry it loaded, but not cocked for another level of safety.
Would a pistol with a rotating-barrel, a concealed hammer, and a thumb-flipped trigger-, slide- and hammer0safety, pin-blocked until trigger pulled, and a decocker be the ideal pistol?
I really dislike an ambi safety on an everyday carry pistol
Great review and great pistol
Hello Hickok45

Beautiful firearm but the price is too high for me.
Have a P model. Had to send it back. Disengaged thumb safety when cocked and locked and hammer fell. They replaced the sear pin. Hmm.

No man has ever said a Glock looks classy.
Most men find it to be ugly, uncomfortable but reliable.
@@thefrogking481 it’s all in the eye of the beholder
I love the look of a Glock, there’s a reason it doesn’t change much, like classic Coca-Cola, it is perfection. And I find the slim grips comfortable as anything else.
I have a request for the new Rock Island clone of the P92! It's about 1/2 the price of the Beretta.

After watching the Garand Thumb video of how unsafe it is to drop, how easily it goes off, I think im okay without one
Any gun without a firing pin block has that risk. Unless the staccato actually has one? I didn’t think it did. Pretty sure it’s series 70 style.
Not being drop-safe in 2024 is shameful.
