My mom developed leukemia extremely quick. As in, she died within one day of first having symptoms. I was out of town and didn't get to say goodbye. Although, I couldn't have dealt with the goodbye. I was in complete shock. Leukemia is just bad, bad, bad.

OMG this brought me to tears. What a wonderful, bright and beautiful young lady. She is an inspiration to us all. I wish I was a fraction as brave as she is. I'm blown away.

My daughter swims competitively with a one legged swimmer. This kid not only swims well...but he keeps up and is faster than many of his team mates. It has taught my kiddo and her team mates invaluable lessons about what people CAN do.
