I disagree with you leveling the badges. Your garage floor and truck alignement are what is taking it out of level. Your badges will only look good now when you are in that spot. But let me know if I’m wrong love the channel man!!
Mike Leguate I hear you mike! I only leveled the rear emblems and only slightly adjusted the side CTD emblems. Still looks looks beside the RAM 2500 emblems.
I believe the reason for the emblems being "off" is because there wasn't a leveling kit on the truck during assembly, so when it was originally done, they would've been level.
For clarification, using heat on emblems/adhesive works well and is an option. For those without a heat gun/hairdryer, the job can still be done!
The black emblems look cool as hell. I personally would go with the red letter. After seeing your videos I definitely have to change the emblems to black on my 2018 2500 CTD.
Yeah man give it a thought. These trucks look mean and going black/whatever factory color looks meaner.
I too have a 2018 white tradesman 2500 Cummings going black and white. I have the same emblems and am torn on going black since that may be the only chrome I keep for just a bit of class. Like your channel. Give us a full pick of the completed work. Also I may replace the X of the 4x4 with the Texas emblem!!
s G haha, will do! I will probably make my decision this weekend if I will keep some letters or not. I do have to say, the rear tailgate looks better the way I mounted new emblems.
You could order the black 2500 OEM badges w/ the red HD and if you're ok with no having it say "heavy Duty", just cut it off. Otherwise there maybe an aftermarket one that's all black. The Cummins badge looks good
Cummins 6.7 Instagram reveals all! Ended up stripping the “RAM 2500” emblems as well as the “HEAVY DUTY” one. I think it looks great.
I like your eye on simplicity. I think I would just leave the chrome Ram 2500. But maybe delete the heavy duty? Just thought. Hey you said fishing line to break bond when switching out logo? Maybe a little heat as well to soften adhesive? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Yes, absolutely. It was a very simple removal and install, heat makes it easy!
Why dont you take off the 2500 emblems for a week, see how you feel. If you dont like it, you can always try the plastidip look
