Is this always an appropriate thing to do? I want to reach out to someone at the company I just applied to to show them that I am super enthusiastic about the company and the role, but I’m worried that it will be seen as inappropriate to connect with them on LinkedIn as I am just one of many applicants and don’t have that connection to them of coming from the same school they do (no one from the company went to my school according to LinkedIn)

I'd say you have to go for it, stay professional (of course), and advocate for yourself. If you don't push and sell yourself, who will?!

Hey love the videos! Do you have any advice for trying to get hired at the end of your internship? (Not one of those cases where it's a summer internship and you want to keep in touch for the future, but to be hired directly after the end of the internship)
I just started one that I'm having an amazing time at, and during the interview they mentioned that there was a possibility to convert to full time, but didn't give much other detail. Other than putting my best foot forward every day, do you have any suggestions?

After a few weeks, set up a check-in with your supervisors (separately or together) express interest in the position and ask questions like: What can I do to set myself up for future success with the company? I'd love to pursue a job here after the internship, who do you recommend I connect with (just generally speaking to meet the decision makers on the team)

Do you have a video on how high schoolers can get internships. Like what a high schooler should put on their resume and how can we make it more appealing. Also, how to get a bigger change like who to contact. Also actually finding internships like where? sites? Do I look at actual companies? Does anyone out there know any internships available for high schoolers wanting to go into business when we don't have much background experience and such??? PLZ HELP

Thanks Lauren! This was helpful. BTW are you “Internship Queen” by any chance? I think you came to do a talk at my university back in 2010-2011 ish. I went to Edinboro University of PA and attended that talk. It was super insightful :)
