    I think Ringo did a terrific job on this one with perfect interpreting and perfect timing. He's definitely great vocal performer and his drumming skills probably helped him a lot for the timing on this one. I think he took a great advantage in having at his side IMO the two best vocalists of all times and this demostrates further his cleverness.

    Dude, I saw this video 10 years ago for a parody I was recording for a school project. I did all the harmonies. Now 10 years later, I’m making a proper cover of the song using the harmonies you taught in this video. Full circle. Thank you for all you’ve done with your videos. Fond memories

    Yeah good attitude! When I was very young I used to steal the old record player my parents from the dining room, carry it along to my bedroom, laying down on the floor nose up with the two speakers each at both side of my head and do the same thing. This is how I learned ;)

    Thank you for this wonderful and very accurate lesson. My band will be performing this song for the first time at the end of this summer (‘22) with our drummer on lead vocals to keep it authentic 😉. We haven’t played together since the pandemic began. Our channel is but a grain of sand among UA-cam giants but we will link this video as a special thanks all the same!

    Thank you for this! I just found you! These Beatle "intricacies" I have listened to for decades but were too obscure to discover on my own, I now have you to explain. thank you! you've helped my thought processes on this before I've even picked up my guitar. i love the way you present the lesson with multiple visual images to follow on screen for the various vocal parts and the subtle rhythmic variations of johns genius rhythm guitar

    Remarkable, the story of the Beatles going to work and then going home, as a job, seems so counter to the image we cultivated of four buddies just having fun in the studio. I also begin to think Paul's perfectionist attitude shaped a great deal of the uniqueness of the Beatle's music, though saying Paul was the reason for their success would be disingenuous. Great stuff, terrific material.

    Video is great and just as clear as always. Some of these harmonies are so hard to pick out, and it's just that much more impressive. I really do have a lot of respect for you, Mr. Galeazzo, and thank you for the wonderful video.
    I also have a question: will you ever cover the harmonies for I Wanna Be Your Man? I enjoy that song a lot, but I can only really hear two of the voices, but I know there's at least three there.

    On the Beatles at the BBC collection George and Paul sing a nice duet version of Carole King's "Don't Ever Change." (See it on UA-cam.) That would make great practice for capturing their singular harmonizing. Galeazzo, Do you ever refer to The Beatles Complete Scores? What's your opinion on how accurate they are compared with your ear?

  • @LeChaunce
    @LeChaunce 11 років тому

    Hey, Galeazzo -- great job singing this... you did an excellent job as always. Have you ever come across the track breakdown on this? On Ringo's vocal track, they sing the part you list as "John" (the lower harmony) during the bridge and the answering phrases ("Would you believe" and so forth), and then they overdubbed the high harmony (and harmonies on the chorus) on the second track! You can hear John's voice crack on the second bridge when they sing "Do you need anybody"! :)
