    Galeazzo,
On UA-cam, where so many are delivering copies of each other, your work on the singing of the Beatles is truly unique and groundbreaking. I imagine two guys who are no more, sitting on cloud (no. 9, of course), watching and listening to your videos, now and then looking at each other with a smile and a nod as you nail yet another nuance.
Meanwhile, those of us still earthbound can enjoy the greatest music ever with fresh ears thanks to you.

George is extremely under rated as a singer he is a very talented singer. He always got the most difficult part usually because he had to sing what was left over after John and Paul.

Rain has to be my favorite Beatles song.
It's so hard to pick a favorite, but every little piece of this song: drums, bass, vocals, harmonies, is just perfect.

Thank you! Studio documentation shows that Paul and John played guitars in Rain. We should be ready to learn that Paul's role in The Beatles, especially during the studio years, was more than we may expect and some recent events are confirming this. :)

rain is one of my top three fave beatles' tunes (the other two being tomorrow never knows and helter skelter) because of paul's bass-line, ringo's drumming, the backwards music, and these harmonies! great job!

As I sit here with my jaw dropped open, I can only picture Van Gogh pouring every bit of sanity he had left on "Starry Night". I am TOTALLY sure that some of these were accidents at one point (like the guitars/drums recorded faster and being played back slower) and Martin locked it in the "for the future" file. But the voices, You have given me a totally different perspective on John's genius. The interpretation is magical and unique. THANK YOU Galeazzo!

Right on. You brought me a smile. And a tear. I live in Hawaii, where George had a house. I also ran into a guy at the '10 minutes of silence' memorial for John back in 1980 in Santa Cruz, CA, who said he had met John and Yoko not long before at Morro Beach. They had a nice chat. Just thought you might be interested. I was in a Beatles copy band myself in the 60's. Who wasn't, it seems?

I'm impressed that you were able to type, "When the rain comes, they run and hide their heads" backwards!
"Rain" was the B-side to "Paperback Writer". I remember verifying this playing backwards stuff by manually spinning the turntable backwards (counterclockwise). It freaked me out when I heard John singing the main verse!

Nicely done as always -- and great research! Galeazzo, I'm sure you're aware they did the same production on "I'm Only Sleeping" -- recorded the instruments in E minor, slowed it down to D minor for the vocals, and then the final playback was Eb minor.
Ooo, that's a song you should do soon if you haven't already!

I totally agree with you about Paul´s role playing the guitar in the studio years. Most people don´t know, the 'Taxman' solo was played by Paul, we thought it was George, and if you hear closely to the bass track played by Paul in the mogg files of 'Something' you can hear him doing the solo in a semi-singing humming voice (you have to turn up the volume). It seems to me he was creating the actual solo George played latter on the song. Thanks so much for your fantastic work. Grazie mille, Chao.

Most certainly Galeazzo.. and to give George credit, Paul once said in an interview that it was George who came up with the idea for the intro part of the guitar in Paul´s song 'And I Love Her' the famous 4 recognizable trademark notes of the song - Bb/Eb/D/C. Grazie ancora for your splendid work. Take care, Chao.

It's impossible if you don't have the original 4 track machine. The closest thing I could do (hear my John's track here in Rain) was creating a duplicate of a recording track trying to sing it the closest possible to the original and panning the original in the centre of the stereo and the copy far on the right side. If you were about to make a normal double-tracking you would not mind to sing the copy the closest possible to the orignal. They're two different effects.

They were on the same single so I think it was the single as a whole, they are both extremely good and share several things that would change rock music forever (more prominent bass, different vocal harmonies, love not being the subject matter), but this song is technically superior, with the different recording speeds, use of backwards tracks, and whatnot

LOVE your videos. I always wondered how they did it. A very small point. On the first screen you wrote , "This recording session was in my opinion doomed to change more than any other.." Doomed implies something bad. For example, "They were doomed to eat only beans until they died". Perhaps the word that fits best would be "destined". Again - no criticism, it just confused me when I first read it since I thought you were going to say something bad happened. Thanks again!
