Paul was definitely at his best on Sgt Pepper. All of his bass lines on that album still blow my mind. Great stuff.
I would say he was at his best as a composer during sgt peppers. The instrumentals and his parts (bass and guitar and piano and anything else!) were so intricate and perfectly crafted. I wouldn’t say he had peaked as a songwriter though- he never really did even into wings. He maintained his knack for amazing melody for a while but he definitely was most purposeful and creative as a composer during peppers- these songs while not my favorite of the Beatles catalogue- are so fucking tight.

I didn't either! It was one of the last two things I recorded. After reading on Beatles Bible, I learned about the Cowbell and and another organ part heard on the isolated vocal track

Also just wanted to say that the editing is great and as always enriches the video (whether it's a cover video like this one or a lesson one which always has very cool pics corresponding to whatever you are talking about)- the effort you put into the vids doesn't go unnoticed. Cubing Bros978 - Just listened to it and played along. There is an isolated track for the solo I referenced. I listen for the sound of an open string when one could potentially be played, I compare inversions and such until is sounds right
We have volunteered at the Boys and Girls Clubs giving money and serving food. My mom also gives to the NRDC because we care a lot about animals and the earth. We also give money donations to local feed the children fundraisers. And probably some other stuff but that’s all I cAn think of

Axel s They were very reflective and it can he hard to nail down what specific color john and georges were. George's can look red, orange, salmon or pink depending on the lighting, and john's can look yellow or green.

@@AblyHouse Yeah, I know. But George used his Casino during this period too. I was talking strictly about the sound accuracy rather than who played the part. Anyway, really well played. The best I've every seen by far.
@@onderov - Thank you, that is true. I thought the opening lick and after the first chorus sounded like a strat through an Ac30 to me, but the Casino can be a similar sound depending what you do with the amp
