Costa Rica is not an island!! As a Costa Rican I was irritated to hear it being referred as an island constantly on the video. Please add a subtitle correcting that. Thank you.

Thanks Bill. Watched both the vids. Actually like the look of both properties but think we will go for the Palace out of the two. Planning a two week stay April / May 24. Only thing putting me off big time is the speciality restaurant reservation system. Cue up at 5.30 to get a booking or take a chance!? Certainly not my idea of fun when on vacation. Also the only resort I have ever been to that runs this system (we are well travelled). Riu need to rethink this.
Thanks for the kind words. I agree on their restaurant system. I’ve found since travel opened back up, that is the number one difficulty in travel with both resorts and cruises.
For 2 weeks, I would definitely stay at the Palace as it will give you access to both.
One thing I did do is check the square footage of the rooms and the reason why I chose the Guanacaste was the room size was much larger over all.
Have been there before if staying at Riu Palace,can not have dinner Riu Guanacaste and if going to disco can not enter with your drink from resort

I used US currency and credit cards everywhere with no issues. I’m not sure about Canada but almost everyplace accepts credit cards.
This hotel is how I remember it nearly 5/6 years ago staff where lovely and helpful casino on site was great also the wild life was insane, recommend monkey bar I walked down the beach I also would recommend Roberto he’s a local tour guide very cheap get him a tequila he’s even cheaper

What's the best way to get to the Caribbean side from rui guanacaste?
Is it easy to exchange money there? Is there free wifi?
Between the two resorts which is better as far a entertainment? I no this resort has more of the themed parties.
Both resorts have the same themed parties, just on different nights except the white party at the Guanacaste. If you stay at the Palace, you can go to parties at both as you wish.
I’m nervous about the Guanacaste rooms.. are they really that bad?
I didn’t tour any of the Guanacaste rooms unfortunately. I have had clients go there with no major complaints. Personally, I usually recommend the Palace as you can use the facilities at both.
Can you eat at both restaurants if you stay at the palace
We are thinking of going soon but plan on taking young children do you feel it is safe?
It’s extremely safe here. There were many children there. I’m retired from the NYPD so safety is always something I am observant of. Thanks for watching.

I don’t believe the Casino is open but not 100% sure. It closed during Covid

You barely showed the beach/water. You can't have a video of this length & not show the beach in detail.
It shares a beach with the Riu Costa Rica. The beach is shown much more and discussed in that video.

😡😡😡 the place is very outdated, elevators, constantly breakdown, and the food is poor quality. Room keys from 1900.😂😂

So if you stay at the Riu Guanacaste you can not use the Palace? When I made my reservation for June it said you could.
Hi Ruth. Technically you cannot. The Palace can use Guanacaste but not the other way around. When we were there, nobody was checking though. Who booked your reservation.
