- It’s finally yardsale season where I’m at. So I’m having my first stockpile yardsale of 2024.
I’m participating in a city wide yardsale so I didn’t have to personally do any advertising. But advertising is one of the biggest way to ensure a successful sale.
Facebook marketplace and the next door app is a great place to advertise. And sign at main crossroads help a ton ❤️

We just finished day 2 of our first yard sale this year. $4500 in sales and one more day to go! My neighborhood looks forward to it every year. Once they see us put up tents, they know it’s time! Thank you for put the deals together for us!!!!

I would love to know how you prepare for the sale to make it such a success? Do you put up signs prior, or post on fb like a week prior? Do you have a Facebook group? Or is it just from people coming because you have been doing it for so long?
@@desireedegenar6110 this is my third year selling my stockpile. I work a full time job. So, I start preparing the month prior. A little bit everyday so it’s not so overwhelming. I advertise on FB marketplace and some other area rummage sale groups. My husband and I put up 5 canopies the night before. Once the neighbors see my canopies up, they know I will be open.
Lol my house is looking like this and yet I still want to go to your yard sale 😂 maybe I need help 😆

I did a one day only stockpile sale today from 8 am to 5 pm. Made $1,600. Sold all laundry, body wash and shampoo. 🎉
I think on the cover girl if you take about half out of the box to make it look like they are selling you might sell more,just a thought😊

A successful sale and wildly successful channel! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. My prices, when i did a stockpile sale were "stupid cheap", because i was nervous that people would think i was charging too much. That probably came a lot from when a friend wanted to buy all of my pullups and i asked $3 each...her husband said, "well, she gets them free" like that meant he should get them free too. Nothing is FREE if you consider time, effort, cost if gas, tax, inserts, etc. Hmmm...ok, i do want to do another sale.

I stopped telling people how much I pay and I stopped selling to people at work because I feel $5/$6 on a giant Tide is amazing and they want it for $2. Sir, Walmart is 2.6 miles away. Good luck getting it for $2 or even $6 there 😂
@@erinjohnson7504 so true! I told my friend's husband that I'd clip the $2 coupons for him to use at Walmart to get them "free". Do people really think it's that quick and simple? 🤨🙄

I have done stockpile sales for years. I make a profit but I pass savings on to my customers also. I just accept cash as well.

AWESOME!!!!😊 I had my first sock pile sale last weekend. Only planned it 2 days before it was a city wide sale. I've only lived here since July. Oooo and I had my 9thish back surgery 3 weeks ago. My sister and brother in law helped me so much. I was shocked how much I solid!!!! Ppl were asking for my number to buy from me all year around. My sister made some scratch paper business cards and have them out to some ppl 😂 over all out was so fun and a blessing for me!!

I've had 3 stock pile sales total and have made over $1,000 each time. I really did well right before Christmas. I posted on Facebook for a "porch sale" where people shopped from my pictures I posted. I had a lot of people that were sponsoring families for Christmas that came and shopped from my stock pile. They were so excited that they got so many deals that they were buying for the parents and not just the children. I plan on doing my first sale this coming Saturday. Memorial Day weekend is always the opening days for community sales in my area.
I should say the first sale I did last summer was 2 days and the second day didn't do so well so any other sale I've had have been just 1 day sales.

I just had my first small stockpile sale ever this weekend! My stockpile is much smaller because I hardly have any space for it, but I was surprised and happy I made $750 in just a few hours! And now my shelves have space so I can fill them up again. Everyone wins! Haha!
We have a multi family garage sale 2-3 times a year so I've cut up sheets of labels with prices on so Mom & sister's know what they are.

I had one weekend I did so far and my prices are almost identical to yours. I’m in a suburb in northeastern PA so cost of living is similar. I made $2000 in 2 days! I was shocked because it was my first sale! Thank you for sharing all of your priceless knowledge! ❤

I do a sale a couple times a year. I have lots of regulars and most my items are the same price as yours. You did great, and have great advice. The main one for me is leaving a spot for people to make a pile or just having big boxes next to the payout spot . I’ve thought many times about buying little baskets for people lol. Also it helps to have a partner (my hubby) to be the cashier and I tag each item unless it’s a big bulk ( covergirl 🤣) just so he knows the price. I love your videos !

Perfect timing for me; I need to unload extras. I was successful at the flea market right before covid ($25 rental) but now I took a good look and there are 4 stockpile sellers there
I did a one day sale and made 3500 and yes the neighborhood knows and weights for the sale. One person said I had to pay retail for item and that was not fun.

My subdivision sale is tomorrow (8-1) and I’m selling some stockpile. This sale is huge and hundreds of people come every year. My prices are comparable to yours but I sell my razors for $3 and $4 just because razors are expensive and I don’t feel that there’s an outdate like other items. Yay Jodie you hit 50k subscribers! Hey Jodi, you did great on 1st day with the low prices you had. Here in my area of NY I charge more & get it. My Dove or Olay BW I sell for $6 each & it goes. I don't really sell laundry items, have more clothes, personal care, home decor & accessories for the home-bedding like: throws, towels, mats/rugs, etc. What I do is post 1st Hour Special deals & folks wait (offer a BOGO half or free). Did an Indoor Pop Up at my Boys & Girls Club to benefit Teen Program from 10 am to 2 pm & did great. Had 5-6 purchases strictly from pictures of what I had-my friend did a Facebook LIVE too. They Zelled or Cash app me the money & my friend dropped items off to them. June is when I do my 1st Yard Sale-Sat. & Sunday
You go! I was excited when I made over 100 bucks but I did mostly makeup only and all was 1 each for everything I had.
Thank you for sharing; I did mine three weeks ago and made $879. It was in front of my house on a rainy day. The community has one tomorrow, and I am looking forward to going. It was scheduled for today. However, the weather has not been good in in PA. I am curious about how much you are going to make tomorrow.
I used to do a couple stockpile sales per year but I have now found an online auction group in my town that has meets once a week on the same day/ time every week to deliver the auction winnings. They even dedicate a couple days toward yard sale meet days to bring extra items that you have for sale.

I am an introvert as well. I just say good morning to everyone and then you get distracted by offering bags and collecting money. I get really busy from 8-11 and then it starts to slow down. People will also remember your signs and you will get repeat customers. 😊

Thats what i say to customers - my prices are what they say. I bring products to u at a reduce price. Drive the 60 mi round trip paying $4.20 gal gas & 4.50 or more for the products; ur getting a great deal here. That small bottle of tide is $9.53 w tax at ur store & im selling it at $4. I sell in the boon docks of an indian rez. I cant believe the prices in the rez stores. My prices are the exactly the same as yours.

I agree Jodi. There are certain items I won’t sell. Dawn dish soap is one for me….my prices are similar to yours. I haven’t done a sale yet but I need to, lol. I feel the same way as Donna Jean about the brow pencils, whoo!! I don’t like to sell my paper products either but if I do, I don’t discount it much.

I do mini sale at my husband nursing home , It works well for the employees . Now I have a client that get a box each payday . She gives me a list of items her family uses and it’s a win win for us both .
