- Hi YT fam! In today's video... I am sharing just exactly how I store my home decor items when not in use. This has been a very highly requested video, so I hope you enjoy how it is I store my items.

Hannah, you answered your own question, with regard to the picture in your office. You commented that you were trying to be more intentional with your purchases and to buy things that you really enjoyed. We all know you love horses, so if that picture brings you joy, see if can use the mirrors elsewhere. I have a very small house, so many of the beautiful pieces you have, wouldn’t work in my home, but the ideas you share are definitely appreciated😀😅
I love seeing how you store your items. The hangers for the pillow covers is such a great idea. I would recommend using some felt squares under the clips so the hangers do not leave an imprint on the cover fabric. I love the mirrors and the Appaloosa print, so I would change them around sometimes. I really love your hair red and although you looked gorgeous with the bronde, the red is your signature.♥️
I have double closets in my guest room. We installed Elfa system shelves in the entire closet to house my seasonal decor, pictures, flowers and items I’m not using at the moment. I keep these very organized like you so that I can go “shopping” in my closet and change things. I also have a large antique steamer trunk that I keep my special items in. Love your organization, decorating and channel.
Keep the horse. Especially in your office, you should have what brings you joy. Consider vacuum storage bags for pillow storage if you don't have room. Love your video, thank you for sharing.

Thank you for this video! I love decorating too and it seems like most cleaning/decluttering channels don’t have decoration stuff so they don’t give ideas on how to organize & store it in ways that will still save the decorations year over year. They all just seem to say to throw it out if you won’t use it every day. 😅 This was very practical & helpful.

I personally love the new horse picture especially in your office. It would remind you of your trip and also of course your love of horses. Also wanted to say I’m with you on making your bed. My husband and me have never slept in an unmade bed in 45 years. We both make our bed depending on who’s home and has time. Take care.❤

If you like the horse picture in your office, keep it…I like the mirrors, I use them a lot in my place, as they pick up light & makes the rooms appear larger! Ty for sharing storage ideas. When I married 32 yrs ago
and started collecting things I became what I called a “hider”!
I always hid things that were not used all the time. I always swapped out and again hid things. Whether in an old antique chest (love antiques) or in clear see through bins. I have always been a hider. My daughter has taken on the same attributes of mom lol!
I live in an 1876 home and with limited closet space I had to adapt and be creative on storing things. One fun idea was using old antique suit cases as a side table for storing all my scrap booking items(back in the day☺️)
Thanks for yr thoughts. I think you have helped so many ppl on what to do with all yr stuff and how to decorate. You are amazing.

Hannah, love this style of video ❤. I’m totally with you regarding the bed and styling it with multiple pillows. I do that too and my husband just doesn’t understand why our bed has to have sooooo many pillows. So, I’m the one to take them off at night and the one to make the bed every morning. Doesn’t bother me at all as I like my bed to look plush, cozy and nice. If he had his way, the bed would have his pillow and mine; that’s it! BTW, I vote for the beautiful picture in your office vs. the mirrors. Thanks for sharing with us Hannah. ❤❤😊
Thanks for the tour of your storage solutions. I too have a cabinet in my kitchen for all my candles organized by season. I used your system of storing florals from that past video with one addiction. In each tied bundle I include a note as to what vase I used them in as I have so many throughout my home. Also I do the same with bed pillows to the side of our bed and I love making our bed as well as we have recently finished a remodel and it just makes the room feel so complete when the bed is made. I do like the horse picture where you have it in your office. It represents you in a space you love.

Hi, Hannah, interesting video. I store my stems in those large, flat containers too. I also use those vacuum storage bags for the throw pillows. You got a lot of storage for your stuff 👍🏼👌🏼.

I always enjoy seeing how others store their decor because I need all of the help I can get. I have so many faux florals and greenery that I store most of my longer stems in tall cheap hampers and some of my smaller ones in small trash cans. I store them in my unused bonus room and try to separate them by colors. I wish I had spaces like your large consoles to store vases, bowls, etc in. 😊❤😊

First off let me say Thank-you!! I’ve been wanting to know what is the best way to store our decor pieces, throw pillow covers, etc. and always wondered where you put all of your beautiful decor. Now I know and I’m happy to say I store mine almost in the exact places. Thank God for console cabinets! I have realized however, that I have way too many decor items because I have to store them in labeled clear bins also. My florals are stored in a high thin box by seasons. I love your idea on storing them in long clear bins but I would have to find somewhere to stack them 😂
I also love the idea you had for hanging your pillow covers and how it keeps them so organized. I always get so much inspiration and ideas from you and I just love that you’re not afraid of showing us inside your storage areas. So thanks again for answering a question I’ve had for years! My opinion is put the mirrors back. They looked outstanding layered behind your desk. I’m a horse lover too! Find another place to hang it. There is always room for the things we love. Move something else perhaps. I’m retired and have a four bedroom house. I use one bedroom in my house for extra storage which has been named the curiosity room. lol. Really enjoy your videos. Hannah, I actually enjoyed this very much. Our children are in their last thirties so I have taken one spare room to store everything in that one room. I have my throws and pillow covers stored in the Amazon blanket storage bags. They are rectangular with a good depth, a Peek window and zipper. I have these organized by color/season. I have my florals stored in clear boxes on shelves my hubby built and small items in drawers of a chest and large bowls, candle sticks, vases in a large curio cabinet all within the same room. Our retirement home is a small 1949 cottage so I don’t have room for beautiful cabinets around the house. However, using this room took away a guest room so our family that comes to stay has their own “apartment “ as we have a beautiful 5th wheel that we rarely use personally any more as I am 12 years into my diagnosis of Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
Oh taking notes on the zip ties on floral stems what a great idea. And agree with you on the pillow cover way more space saver

This is such a helpful video!!! I have been so into finding and collecting home decor over the past few years. But now my space is bursting at the seams. Ironic that the stuff I bought to beautify my home is now making it look bad due to the clutter. This motivates me to keep my favorite pieces, organize them, and sell the rest. And resolve to be way more careful with overconsumption moving forward, only buying truly special items.

As for the Appaloosa vs mirrors. I loved the mirrors. I’m thinking the horse and frame are a little too dark for the space. What about hanging it on the wall where the mirror is currently resting against? You’d get to look at it whenever you’re sitting at the desk. Whatever you choose will look amazing I’m sure!

Loved this video . In big need of organizing my back up decor rack. I get sick of decor so easily it's pretty sad I end up donating most items after a season.
I would suggest putting cardboard in between the pillow covers and the clip on the skirt hanger you are using. It keep the fabric from
being marred which is particularly important if they are velvet. Practical advice on your video.👍🏻
So nice to see how you stored all your seasonal decor throughout the house. When I moved my son from his nursery to his “big boy” room (many, many years ago) I turned his nursery bedroom into my storage room. I love it, I keep it very well organized and I vacuum pack comforters and pillows. I love that print, but prefer mirrors. Thanks so much for the candle regift idea. I’m going to stock up when they are on sale/off season.

As artistic people I would keep both mirror if you have room. I like to switch them out twice a year so it’s inspiring and to looks fresh.

I don’t like the rug underneath so maybe I’ll benefit from this and get to replace it haha..I loooove the horse picture. Definitely keep it there 😊 I have a candle cabinet too!! Rug tapes can be removed with a blowdryer and grabbing a corner and pulling the tape gently (not too hot not too close or it will melt the glue). It works. Also there is no need to put as much tape as they say, just a 5" strip at each corner is more than enough.

As far as yr bed I’m the same. First thing I do every morning when I roll out of bed is make my bed. It starts my day on a good note knowing it’s made and I’m ready to move on with other things. It takes just a few minutes ✌️

This was a great video! I always wonder where you and others like you store all their stuff. I have tons of things in my basement. My many many stems are in containers which I hate digging through so I just buy new stuff! Not good! I need to reorganize and label.
