Don't take any notice of this vlog, not until the new 60 day visa free on arrival is published in the Thai Royal Gazette will it be effective.... So until then its still 30 days visa exemption on arrival being given
Yes, you are correct. It still hasn't been introduced. A few reports did show that it was going to be active June 1st, however, as we all know now, that is not case. Regardless, everyone should always check VISA travel requirements before booking any travel.
So let me ask ,just to be sure. I already bought my accommodations for 30 days however I didn't buy plane tickets yet. I can easily add a few more weeks. Are are you saying we can stay as tourist up to 60 days? Fyi My accommodations is the middle of January to middle of February.
@@justice4all997 depends on your passport and also if you are coming by air. According to Thailand, the 60 visa on arrival started July 15. However, you will always need to check official government sources to confirm your passport will receive the 60 day stamp.
@fulltimeabroad I know laws can change overnight. I just didn't want to do the 60 days and they drop the 60 days after I purchase my tickets. I'm from US
Yeah I understand. The good news is that people are reporting that they are getting the 60 days visa on arrival and the US passport does get that 60 day arrival visa. We can't predict the future, so hopefully they keep it 60 days.
Nothing has been implemented yet, but it appears Ireland is on the list based on some news reports. However, always check visa requirements before booking any travel.
@@cozyeagle9734 they appear to be on the list. But be aware that the changes havent been introduced yet. Many sources had June 1st as the day, but so far not yet. Always double check the VISA requirements before booking travel.
They still haven't implemented these changes. A lot of reports listed June 1st but we're all still waiting. This is great news for all of us! Applying for visas is always annoying lol
The news that ciculated around about 60 days visa are not true. Thai embassy or authory didn't said it start from 1st of June. I checked with Thai Embassy here, and friends (who nationality on the list of 60 days free visa) entered Thailand via airport after 1st June, they didn't get 60 days visa, but only 30 days. 😢
@@Padhraig62 yes, they still haven't implemented the announced changes. We are all waiting on it. Always remember to check visa requirements before booking any travel
Not sure. More information should be coming out later this month or next. Some reports had it starting June 1st, but this isn't the case and we will need to wait for more information
Hi Both of You, both are great. My name is John from Australia. I'm 75. I have a couple of questions you maybe able to help this old bloke :- 1. I can get on a plane in Australia to depart to Thailand Arrive in Bangkok Airport and go through Customs / Immigration etc. and all I need to present to the Officers is my Current Australian Passport. 2. I have no need to produce documentation to the Officers regarding where I will be staying in my Tourism period. ( Please note been to Bangkok 8 times ) 3. Do not have to show my return Air Fare Ticket. 4. Do I have to pay any Fee to Enter Thailand ( Suvarnabhumi Airport ) 5. Do I need to apply in writing to someone about = Visa Exemption (60 Days)
Hi John, as Canadians, we didn't have to pay any fee on arrival, only for the 60 day visa, which is now no longer required for Canadians as they can get visa on arrival for 60 days now. You will need to check Thailand's visa policy for the country of the passport you will use. Each country is different, so best to check official routes.
UPDATE: July 15 2024, the changes have been published in the Royal Gazette and now its official.

Excellent news. It saves making a visa run for a month.
Id imagine those visa run companies aren't going to be happy lol
Has the 60 day tourist visa been listed in the Thai Royal Gazette?
I don't think so. Haven't heard that it has yet.
