sorry but this list is trash, its not a fair list because it only includes openings from the early 2000s and 2010s onwards, barely any early 2000s ones at that, not only that you didn't use any of the japanese pokemon, digimon, or yugioh openings or even stuff like yu yu hakusho or dragon ball or even gundam, I can no longer take this list seriously. seriously what is with all these new anime fans making these lists and never including the old bangers.

Gintama OP 13 is not merely considered "classic" and "iconic", the song itself is just really that good. You gotta admit how good the song is even if you didn't watch Gintama. And I'm also happy today, like any other Gintama fans that watch this video :)

Samurai Champloos opening was made by Nujabes and featured Shing02. He is often credited as one of the pioneers of lo-fi hip hop. He sample from a variety of jazz tracks, and experimented with complex rhythms. I definitely recommend listening to his albums, you will catch the vibe
The funny thing is, when he said that the soul eater op looked like a cross between fire force and something else, it kind of is true. Both fire force and soul eater have same author and he confirmed fire force is the prequel to soul eater

Insane respect for gintama wining. 13 is just a beast all it’s own. It’s what got me to watch the show and I don’t regret it.

It sounds offbeat, but that's the intention. But the vocals and instrumentals are perfectly lined up with one another. Even the shifted, off-beat, chorus, is intentionally shifted, and the whole chorus starts on the same beat as the instrumental, and ends on the same beat. It's a shame you didn't pick it, as it's easily the superior song, both instrumentally and vocally. LiSA songs, whilst good, are very generic
You did definetley bring some bias into this, with the actual anime and not just their openings. But that's the case with everyone, even those who make lists of top openings (that are normally filled with the most popualr current anime, even if they have mid openings)

I recommend you Gurren Laggan. Is, for me, one of the best anime I've ever seen. And also, Soul Eater has the same autor as Fire Force.
Ngl you should either react to Gintama all 21 openings because they’re so good or watch the 1st episode and last episode of Gintama. (if you do that then technically start at episode 3 since the first 2 episodes are filler)

You said in your stream “isn’t gintama just trolls” and while that is true for like 80% of it, there are many serious arcs spread throughout the series, deaths, and tragic backstories. Also the fight choreography is top notch and osts/music go hard. Definitely worth checking out, it’s not high rated for nothing.
