Thank you Corrine for your video and sharing your trip with us. I am sorry you have caught a bug, that's all you needed. Hopefully you are on the mend. How lovely to have so many beautiful shops to visit. We have lost so many here in the UK it is sad and online whilst a blessing does not make up for the touchy/feely effect. I hope you took an empty suitcase with you😂. Gosh all that Liberty, I once went into the store in London which is the only other place I have seen that amount of fabric in one place. I am more a French General girl, more my colour way. Looking forward to part 2.

So loved your shopping trip and everything you purchased. I’d love to go on a retreat with like-minded ladies. It’s hard not to go crazy when you find gorgeous items. This reminds me to get out the French General instead of hoarding. The books are amazing, those projects look wonderful. I so enjoyed looking at what the quilt shops ad to offer. Tku from the U.K.

    Oh thank you so much.
I have watched a few of your videos & love them.
But this video popped up in my feed & had to watch it as I love in Mount Helen in Ballarat.
Relocated from Sydney a few years ago but haven't found any craft shops & still haven't travelled far from home as I am still getting used to living in a townhouse & different state.
So thank you so very much.
I have driven by Gail's in Sebestapool but never driven down the road even though there is a big sign showing the way.
I keep thinking I will go down but haven't but after this video I will be going.
So yes please post more of your trip as it has helped me a lot to find out where I can go to find what I need.
    As well as quilt classes.
So again thank you very much xxx❤

Bakery hill is where we had our restaurant first directly across the road from Macca's then next door to it with the gorgeous old Rotunda out the front. And also the spot where the Eureka Stockade took place. Australias only civil war.
Maldon was one of my favourite towns to go. Just beautiful shops there. Sooooo many more craft shops since I've been there in Ballarat. My kids used to go to Dana St primary School which looked like one of the buildings you showed. I think I heard it closed down as a school??? Which was very sad but the building was beautiful !!!
It's 24 years since I left. Wow!!! Time flies.
Really lovely tour of a gorgeous town. Thankyou ❤❤

I love the old spindles (pirns) - I only found out what they were a few years ago when I discovered one of my 3x great grandmothers was a pirn winder for her husband (my 3x gr grandfather) who was a cotton loom weaver. I was very lucky to find a local lady (Adelaide) selling a bag full of old pirns/spindles - some that still had their thread on them. Your video has me thinking that a Ballarat trip could be in order in the next few months!

Thanks for sharing, Corrine! I'm sad you got sick traveling. It happens to me all the time when I fly. I blame it on the cabin air in the planes.
I can't wait to see what you do with those spindles! I bought a pile of them at a flea market years ago and have never been able to think of how to use them!

Your French Chocolate tin definitely had chocolates in it. Usually look like chocolate leaves or buttons. I have two similar
tins that included the chocolates. What a fabulous range of goodies that you purchased. I too have a weakness for linens and Japanese woven fabrics.

The wood spindles from Christie’s Timeless Treasures are bobbins that hold thread, you put the bobbin that filled with thread in a shuttle used for weaving; the shuttle goes back and forth and the bobbin holds the thread.
