Just had a thought all those souvenier tea towells that never got used cos they were too fancy to use to dry the dishes would be great to use for this project as backing.

Beautiful... but there's one problem... we have to wait a week to the next one!!

Would you do running stitches now before adding the backing piece or are you just going to baste it down? Once backing is added I guess you then do the stitching?

I love the Nest, I’ve been three times now and it’s one of my ‘must visit’ each time I go to Bris. Must be nearly time to go again. I’m still not stitch with everyone, some days I can’t do anything with my hand, others I do a little.

Corrine, it’s good to hear your dad came through the surgery well, and the hospital is taking good care of him. Now you can go to your retreat and have some fun which will be good for you. The quilt is beautiful, sorry I haven’t kept up. What a fun haul, you’re so good at finding the little goodies and planning projects. I go and see pretty things without anything in mind, then have to figure out the projects later. Take care, safe travels. ❤

What a fun quilt project! I look forward to following along and seeing how it evolves. I had a thought to share that if you made the backing fabric piece slightly larger than the batting you could overlap them with the adjoining panels (like you’re doing on the front) and this would then mean the raw edge of the batting won’t show through where they are connected. Happy Stitching ☺️

Great news about your Dad all takes time had a medical episode with my Dad last year and did the same got all stretchy clothes from good old Kmart worked well👍 thinking of you and yours 🙏 and thank you for your wonderful videos 💕💕

Thank you Corrine for your video and catching us up with how things are going. Really pleased that your dad has come through his surgery and things are looking more positive. Finding and buying stitchy haul is always good therapy in times of stress. I think as crafters we pack and include all we think we could need ,then discover one missing item, the craft room 😂 How you have managed to pack all you need for retreats, hospital time etc is amazing, you must be driving a lorry. We are all thinking of you and sending positive thoughts and lots of hugs across the miles 🤗🤗
