A HUGE thank you to everone that reached out about DAMNED25 so far. I haven't been able to get back to everyone but we've pretty much completed the search for Cardstock Terrain thanks to Barry Faith! A massive thanks to Chris Medalis who donated his old BOX that you see in this episode and also to Shaun Madgwick who just up and made a wicked looking new Intro and Graphics set for it totally unasked that blew me away. To anyone that reached out that I didn't get back to, THANK YOU. I took a stab at answering everyone once the stuff had been found but It keeps getting buried as the inbox fills up and I'm sure I missed some people. You're all AMAZING and I'm so excited that folks thought this project was fun. Also Tommy Morrison has something really cool cooked up I’ll be showing off in the coming weeks! Stay tuned! Finally, shout out to Turhan Elby (BROHEIM!) for the wicked looking stickers that now adorn the Dice Tray. Legend.
Oh nice just spotted the Broheim sticker! Got one of those bad boys on my model bag. Turhan’s a cool dude, had a great game against his Skaven when he flew all the way to Hull!
You legend. I started my Mordheim group back up this year from close to decade ago and have been watching all of your old Mordy videos again. The best wargame channel chatting about the best game again...Lets go!
Fantastic game! I really enjoyed watching this, Mordheim is such a great game. Hull City of the Damned tournament upcoming too. Will be playing some Mordheim at my local FLGS Mighty Lancer Games in Bridlington tonight for practice.
Love it. I'm painting up warbands and I have ordered terrain. I hope to be able to celebrate #Damned25 later this year with my friends. I should have 8 painted warbands by then and I have 5 players lined up so far.
Hey Ash! I have a topic suggestion for you for one of your discussion vids:- "If you want to be professional wargames designer, at some point do you have to at least try to release a game that has it's own miniatures? If you try and release a specific miniature game, what do you have to do differently in design?" The reason I ask is although a lot of people make fantastic miniatures agnostic wargames, it seems very hard to make a living unless you can pull off something like Malifaux or Infinity. I asked the podcast that Mike Hutchinson appears on, and they thought it was actually MORE risky to try and release your own miniatures. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts! Best
Although I've never played Mordheim (shame!), I always love seeing it being played by Ash and the crew, such a stupidly fun game! Totally on board for your 25th anniversary plans!
The true Mordheim experience: spending 5 minutes arguing about who can shoot who, missing your shots, disagreeing about a rule that hasn't even happened yet.
Been ages since I played last but Shaven were my warband; their LD was trash and I had a hard time fighting Possessed but since they can start out with so many heroes they do well in a campaign, provided they don't get taken out of action. My favorite spell was the spell that gave you additional rats (I usually had a couple guys with spears and three rats for henchmen). I had a few white rats to differentiate which ones were from the spell and which were henchmen. As cool and flavorful as weeping blades were, they're expensive and never took then. Never got a black skaven with strongman or weapon master (so you can use great weapons) but one with a flail and that black lotus poison can really put the hurt on someone. I did have my leader get the unarrmed combat skill and became a monster. I used an old grey seer for my sorceror but someone stole it.
Playing Mordheim now as well. Such a great game. One rules thing: I don’t think you can ever shoot/hit if the required roll is more than 6. (6 isn’t an automatic success.) I think you guys are thinking of WHFB.
At the time Mordheim came out, WFB had the rule that if you needed a 7+ to hit with a shooting attack you needed to first roll a 6, then a 4+ for a 7, 5+ for 8, and 6 for 9. If you needed a10+ therewas no chance. Most of us just naturally added this to Mordheim, as it made for a more fun game. I think that's what Ashe & company are doing. But RAW you are correct.
@@durzod2052 Good to know! I am always worried I have missed something from the rule books or FAQs. It feels like a game ripe for house rules, or club has a bunch we use as well.
I was introduced to mordheim with the WHFB style of dealing with 7+ rolls. It may have been added in a town cryer, or it may have been something the guy introducing me to it just had to muscle memory. Either way, I really like it. Bolt Action has something similar, "super sixes" they call it. If any attack is over 6+, you need a 6 then confirm with another 6.
Ash, just curious…but not enough to dig out the rules. Since you broke, do you still count as ending the game in the building with the goods? I’d think that the mercs were the only army left on the board when you bolted so nothing stopping them from clearing out that cache.

Every time Mordheim gets mentioned someone somewhere starts a new Warband.
This is the way.
I am really tempted but who will I play with ?
Hat is og miniatures?

A true legend - he's literally been to Hull and back!
"Dreaded Wu" love it, my warband in our current campaign is "36 Whiskers of Death" ft many Wu Tang puns.
I assume Ash's wizard snorts lines of powdered orange drink mix before barreling into combat like a sugared up toddler.

Great to see Jordan back in the ruins, always a treat watching you both play. Love this game, thanks guys.
Always glad to see more Mordheim!

Yes!!! Mordheim! My first game from GW :D
The true Mordheim experience: spending 5 minutes arguing about who can shoot who, missing your shots, disagreeing about a rule that hasn't even happened yet.
Just started watching and I love the naming of your rats😂
So much fun.
I love The Dreaded Wu
My absolute favorite of your warbands
All I could think of when the sorcerer dies is, I cast Gun.
“I don't know how y'all see it, but when it comes to the children-Wu-Tang is for the children,”
Cant wait to see Ratface killa and Ol' Dirty Bastard (the rat ogre).
Return of the Dreaded Wu. The sequel I've been waiting for.
Wu Two: Electric Boogaloo
More! More! More!
Like a third of Jordan's rolls must have been 1s. Poor guy.

Damn! I was sitting here waiting for this game and had missed it was posted ages ago! lol..
I've been eagerly awaiting Rats!!
Not much to say other than "yes, yes!"
It's the wu fang clan
I knew Jordan was a maniac when "The Rule of my shit is already here" didn't apply to him and he chose the opposite table edge to start on.
Wutang ratts I dig it bro

You do. Breaking just ends the game.
