I just love this guy! He is so up front and so candid! We need a 100 more ophthalmologist in the world like you! You need to be cloned..... I am saving up for my surgery. Did my research and I never dreamed this was so complex. No prosthesis can really replicate God's original design not even close.
This video gave me hope to solve my problem. I have the right iol with opacification-glistening (with yag laser performed) and the left iol tilted and with secondary cataract. I live in Italy, and with these two lenses my life has become difficult and limited. Thank you Doctor Wong, I felt reborn watching this video.
He is a good guy. I was a complex case. I saw him two years ago. He asked me what my gut feeling was. After numerous permutations and combinations. And my gut turned out right. He gave his personal cell at the first appointment itself. I didn’t end up getting surgery there but he is a stand up guy.
Dear Doctor Shannon Wong! First of all, let me thank you for your professional, honest and very necessary for doctors and patients information . Please, given your vast experience, your opinion on the correction of astigmatism KM (keratometry) Cyl = 1.0 Ax 30 (oblique) during TECNIS Symfony implantation is very important. What do you prefer, toric IOL or intra/ postoperative astigmatic keratotomy? Your opinion on astigmatic arcuate keratotomy using a femtolaser? Thank you!
One more question: how soon after surgery can a patient fly commercially (airline) back home? Presumably patiens going to Austin from far away will want to take a plane rather than driving.
Thanks for all your helpful videos and for your integrity. BTW, is that your CyberTruck in the background? How do you like it (maybe a video about it some day 😜)?

What IOl do you have? And when did you get it?

Thank you.

Much appreciated!
love the visual comparision of lens implants.
Hoping soon to have my eye surgery here in the UK 🇬🇧 using the new J&J TECNIS PureSee lens, I hear good things about it……wish me luck 🍀🤓🤩😃
As a general rule, would you consider a multi-focal IOL for someone with 4th nerve palsy in one eye? Or is that an automatic monofocal lens only?

The Johnson and Johnson PureSee lens is not commercially available in the US.
Thank you

It is safe to fly the day after cataract or lens implant surgery.
Is Negative dysphotopsia treatable after 2.5 years? It also seams that my wife gets light around the edge of the lens also.
We would need to examine your eyes in order to answer your question.
Thanks for all your helpful videos and for your integrity.
