If only the rats showed their appreciation the way we do. You can make the perfect cage, toy, house, ramp, hammock, you name it........and they just see it as something they get to destroy. The more work you put into it, the more they get excited to destroy it. They have little meetings about it, laughing at us.
@@abraxas511 Ask many parents, they may enlighten U to the fact that human kids are excited and reckless also. 🐀💜🐁 Hope Ur pets aren't too stressed with loud noises that U have no control of. NOISE can be aggravating and agitating. 😊

Can you do a tutorial on how to make the bendy rope and the net?
I love all the wooden stuff! How do you clean it? I use a vinegar and water mixture with mine, but it seems like it gets kind of stinky after a while. I wish I could use more of it in my cage.
Use a pet urine scent remover and before ever using seal it with something.
I watched a rat video, so then of course started getting recommended more, and now I want to have rats again 😭

How many rats can fit into this cage? Trying to find a good cage size for three upcoming females! ❤️
This is the midwest single critter nation and going by the lower pet standard for rats (ie 2 cubic feet per rat) it can fit 6 rats. Going by the higher pet standard (2.5 cubic feet per rat) it can fit 4 rats.
Personally having had between 2 and 6 rats in a single, I recommend sticking to 2-4 in one when possible, maybe 5 if some are older or dwarfs. But 2-4 rats fit comfortably in a single with plenty of room for enrichment and activities!

Hi! Sorry for the out of context question, but I am in a desperate need of advice. I got my last rat girl, she is 2 years and 10 months old and I don't plan on taking new babies. I have an option to send her to a new home with other older girls. She is in good health, but still, she is 2 years and 10 months old, and introductions are always stressful, especially to older rats. I'm worried it might be too stressful to her, but also, in case if she lives more than 3 years, she might end up very lonely (she is not a cuddly rat and doesn't particularly enjoy human company). What would you do?
