- Lisa Marie Presley was hospitalized on Jan. 12 due to cardiac arrest and her death was announced hours later. Prior to the medical emergency, the 54-year-old lived through many tragedies including the loss of her son Benjamin Keough in 2020 when he was just 27. I was a little kid playing at my grandparent`s house when I heard Elvis has passed. Even though I was a young kid, I knew exactly who Elvis was and was saddened at his death. Now I am shocked at Lisa Marie's passing. Very very sad. It appeared she had a lot of struggles throughout her life. Peace be to her memory and strength and love to her family and mother Priscilla.

Over the years I saw pictures of her with her kids and Benjamin never looked happy. Even those family pictures barely had a grin. I always wondered if the weight of being Elvis' grandson and looking so much like him was too much and he could never measure up or if he was just chemically depressed and never able to overcome it. Whatever it was, Lisa Marie clearly had a special relationship with him and his death certainly started her end.

I can’t believe this. I was literally quoting her on a Michael Jackson video last week. As the biggest MJ fan, she was the dream. We all lived vicariously through her. She always had nothing but beautiful things to say about Michael and we absolutely adored her. Above all, she was Elvis’ little girl 💔. I can’t imagine what the family is going through also with the untimely death of her young son. She only lived 4 years later than Michael and died in the same way- cardiac arrest. My heart hurts 😢
