A year later we know it was much more heartbreaking than we could imagine. I wish Uncle Jerry could have helped Lisa Marie more after her dad died but Priscilla had other priorities and I have no doubt she wanted to break her daughter.

I loved Jerry's words, he became the closest person as a father figure, and stood by her side throughout her life-time. Maybe Elvis foresaw the future when he handed Lisa to Jerry as a baby. I wonder if she knew something as she left him with the most beautiful words (Jerry Schilling, I Love You!!). What a beautiful memory for Jerry to treasure for the rest of his life. A year later we know it was much more heartbreaking than we could imagine. I wish Uncle Jerry could have helped Lisa Marie more after her dad died but Priscilla had other priorities and I have no doubt she wanted to break her daughter.

This day is as sad as August 16th, 1977. A day in my life that always makes me pause and remember Elvis, Priscilla, and Lisa Marie. I’m so sorry for the Presley family. When Benjamin died I felt like Lisa would not be with us much longer. I have watched the Elvis movie staring Austin Butler. What a lasting tribute for the Presley family.
