I can create, because of all the sliders and add-ons I have in character creator 3, nearly any form of human conceivable, what would character creator 4 offer me above that? I transfer those characters to iClone 7, animate them in various ways and then use acculips for the text to speech. I perform all my productions in Unreal Engine. How would iClone 8 be an advantage to me. Persuade me as to why I should purchase character creator 4 and iClone 8, considering how I use what I have now.

Yes, you can add and edit hair physics, but it doesn't transfer quite right into UE. But if you have it set up, you can edit it in UE and make it better.

@Jsfilmz thanks for the fast reply. We'll, it makes a new sequence. How do you get that in your mainline or animation level sequence. I can do it one way by adding the character in a sequence AND THEN find the animation and linking it but it's so complicated. I was wondering if you can drag the sequence in. Notice it makes a "new take". Make sense?
@@Jsfilmz Actually, I think I figured it out. I WAS able to Drag that sequence into my World Scene animations sequence. The way the I am setting it up is with a Master Sequence where I have multiple Camera Shot Sequences as well as an Animation Sequence. So in my master I have 2 tracks, Shot Track and Animation track. I was wondering how to get that animation sequence in my Master. At first I was Dragging my Character into my Animation sequence and then LINKING the animation to that character but that way I would have to link every animation to every character. The best way was to drag that sequence I just recorded INTO my animation sequence. That works.... now I am wondering what if I need to add more animation to that same character tho. I wonder would I do it through loading other fbx animations or hummm. This is why I sent you a message on Artstation again. :) But I am happy I worked out this. Thanks Bro. I love you. :) haha.
A very helpful video! If you have any trouble, please let me know. The accessories attached to the character were transferred from CC to UE following the steps in the video. However, the coordinates of the accessory move to a position away from the person. Is there any solution?

Nice work. I've used Reallusion stuff before. Think it's a little overpriced when you consider the quality isn't anywhere close to Metahuman. They are lot lighter though and seem to run well in game. Also, the Livelink functionality is pretty awesome! Although they do need to make looping animations easier. Quick question, are you entering the KitBash 3D Mission to Minerva challenge? If so, how's it going? Are you going to do any videos/livestreams on work in progress? I like watching your development process. :)
hey mate so i use iclone like motionbuilder so not for renderings but editing animations, Motionbuilder is like $2k a year iclone i paid $690+ during black friday and thats a one time payment. Im not entering kitbash im done with challenges they are too political

I think the challenges epic games run are a little political and very poorly managed. Winners seem to be the ones that make UE look good, and less about meeting the criteria for the challenge. hi, great video as always. Are you able to tell what are the differences between Omniverse vs UE x Iclone pipeline? IIn search of good rendering results tried Omniverse as Reallusion stated there is an alliance and support but it is not as spectacular as I thought (many errors). I decided to go for blender where I am buidin out scene and just import FBX characters from IC8 but UE ooks way more natural as an animation pipeline due to live link.
for hardsurface omniverse all day until they get photorealistic humans in there, if you want photorealistic human renders then metahumans, i use iclone for animation stuff

Your techniques worked well. But 1 issue I'm having with hair is that it looks grainy, and idea what's causing this? It comes out grainy like an iray render that hasn't gone through enough iterations.

Could you go through how to set up your shaders/materials so that the char's look identical to the one from CC4/Iclone8? I find that my characters textures look like poop when I export to UE5...
@@Jsfilmz oh nice i used the autoset up and the textures are so much better. i actually impressed with how well it takes textures and accurately portrays them in UE compared to imports from other softwares like blender.
can this live link transfer oblects from unreal with the texture on them? I only ask because there's an envirament I want to put into iClone that's in unreal and finding all the textures would take a long time

@@Jsfilmz true, I was planning not get it for years, but wasn't sure if it's going be useful for me. However when they released Iclone 8 they sealed it. It's much easier now to clean your animations and add adjustment on them. Pulse you can import almost any type of skeletons and it will be transformed automatically. 👍
Have you run across crashes during the render using this timecode method? I get an error saying "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". I was thinking it was because I disconnected my Live Link session before rendering. But even after restarting and reconnecting live link a bunch of times, it still crashes every time. Have any idea how to fix this or do I need to record a new session and not disconnect live link before rendering?

I think j it's easier to get a full iclone scene working correctly into Omniverse Create than it is to get it into UE5. Even Blender does it batter.. its a shame because UE5 can produce amazing visuals

yes subdivided can be animated if thats what ur askin
QUESTION: AT 17:25 you don't show how to "keep" that animation in a world. Would you drag the sequence it or how do you do that?
im not understanding the question broski. once you record the animation it bakes it as a sequence if that makes sense

feed it samples noise usually resolves with more samples unfortunately

Well redoing the take and keeping everything connected didnt work. Not sure whats causing this now.

fam i have seen some stuff they are testing at epic only with one phone to replace mocap with ai and one phone
one camera is pretty common mate even omniverse has it
