Back then writers still had some talent which in turn made the actors shine as well. But in the past 10 to 15 years everything has gone down the drain and the studios are surprised that people don't like their half assed attempts at making movies nowadays.
Even as a child, I remember anticipating this scene to see the final villain as the typical evil archetype. But, once Salahuddin began to speak, all of that faded away. You could just fill his dignity in every word and patient stare. I understood right there that, at least as the film portrayed him, this is one truly good fella - albeit cloaked in immense power and responsibility.
Indeed, & did you know, the British Army named their six wheeled armoured car after that very great man - the Saladin armoured vehicle was more than formidable in the late Fifties & early Sixties, not unlike the warrior himself.

My Moncur great great grandfather, a master blacksmith, came from Dundee, settling on the E Cape frontier in 1857 South Africa.
I so freaking love the actor who played Salah ad-Din. Every scene he's in is a master class on how acting is done and should be done. Back then writers still had some talent which in turn made the actors shine as well. But in the past 10 to 15 years everything has gone down the drain and the studios are surprised that people don't like their half assed attempts at making movies nowadays.
You can watch omar, he played as abu bakar as siddiq
That smile at the end... just instant charming. Such acting to seem lik a terrifying warlord and then suddenly you want to hug him.

Even as a child, I remember anticipating this scene to see the final villain as the typical evil archetype. But, once Salahuddin began to speak, all of that faded away. Salahuddin was interesting in this movie. He had massive ego but not toxic. He had gravitas without the hubris. He commands respect yet generous to give his respect to even the most incompetent of kings (like Guy).
I don’t think it was a massive ego. He was prideful, yes, but he was not egotistical. It’s self-assuredness brought from wisdom

Its true salah din was man of dignity and honor, and he did not cross the boundaries that Allah placed about war and treating women and children with compassion.
During the war a women from crusades lost her toddler and she ran to crusaders to get help. They said go to saladin he will surely help you.She went to salah din and narrated how her child is missing and how much she is in pain and panic.Saladin heared her and wept with her.He sent few horsemen in search of the kid and they found him.The woman was over joyed to get her kid back. She nursed her toddler in the tent of saladin while she was given privacy and protection.Later salah din asked one of his rider to safely ride the woman and her kid to the city.

It is riddled with historical inaccuracies and blatant fabrications.
The French blacksmith (more likely armourer) portrayed here as the crusader hero of the movie, befriended the English king's brother, the Earl of Huntingdon. History has it that he brought the Frenchman back from Palestine & set up Dundee in Scotland, establishing the first armoury in Britain. This could be my maternal ancestor, the founder of the Moncur clan who were reputedly armourers. My Moncur great great grandfather, a master blacksmith, came from Dundee, settling on the E Cape frontier in 1857 South Africa. His son, my great grandfather, also Scots born, was a blacksmith too of course.

2.The sons of jacob(12) & their offspring did not leave Egypt until they left with the Prophet of God Moses, and after wandering in the wilderness for forty years, until they entered the holy land of Palestine. They were commanded to fight to inhabitants who were inhabitated by the Canaanites race(at the time pagans) & those Canaanites descendents later were chrisitians under the romans & then muslims under the arabs. The clear evidence of Gods wrath Evidently is the destruction of the Temple mount/ al quds/masjid ul aqså'. Which is the blessed land.
6. The period of captivity followed & enslavement of the children of israel in Babylonian (6 BCE) who still spoke the biblical hebrew language Is where the Jewish religion formed 'the talmud', without the temple & absence of religious judges.
*The degree to which the Jews looked upon Cyrus the Great as their benefactor and a servant of their God is reflected at several points in the Hebrew Bible-e.g., at Isaiah 45:1-3, where he is actually called 'God’s anointed'.

Jerusalem being a religious sacred representation of Following the prophet Abraham who was neither jewish, & all the prophets of jacobs lineage the conditional divine support lie in belief of all the prophets. Due to the aforementioned nation of israel/not followers of judaism by rejection of the prophets jesus, muhammad the succession of Jerusalem mount temple which is a religious representation of God/ servitude that is bestowed upon those who Believe in all of Gods prophets & following all of his commandments.
9. Israel is a secular liberal state not built upon Jewish law, yet still ascribing to Jewish history/ religion is Intertwined. This is the reason why Muslims the followers of Jesus & muhammad(peace be upon them all) & the prophets abraham & all scriptures are the rightiful successors of Jerusalem. God never gifted it purely based on ethnicity but on sincerity in faith & obedience to his laws he caused them to inherit it . Islamic law is almost similar to judaeo legal rullings pointing to the Divine origin.
*Also due to the idolatry & treachery God punished the aforementioned nation causing them to be outcasts & exiled
In other words because land does not belong to the people who lived there first(in this case canaanites) , but to those who establish the laws & commandments of the Creator therein. God created the land, and He created people to worship him in the land and to establish therein the religion, its laws and rulings of the supreme.
