1980: Whitey Herzog is introduced as the St. Louis Cardinals new manager

Whitey Herzog was introduced as the new manager of the St. Louis Cardinals during a news conference at Grant's Farm in June 8, 1980. General manager John Claiborne traveled to Montreal, where the Redbirds were playing the Expos, to fire manager Ken Boyer between games of a doubleheader.
