They do have a bit of a point with the "innocence proves nothing" bit, especially with how easily demons can corrupt even the most loyal of the Imperium.
@@Thischarletfire It’s very likely you wouldn’t be aware of your own corruption therefore could in all reality be totally innocent in all ways and actions while still being a serious threat.
Guys its not that complicated.... Imperium = Empire The Imperium of Man, its the empire of mankind... this video its all about the factions within the Empire, all human factions. The Imaterium = the imaterial its another name for the warp dimension, while the materium = The material is just real space. Totally different things. Warhammer 40K use lots of latin nomenclature in universe to name things.
the oddest thing about the assassins in my opinion is some of the lore about their gear namely the body suits. They are sprayed onto their naked bodies forming a hard yet flexible second skin which not only acts as armor but also filters out airborne toxins - it is also sort of has one way mirror properties and if selectively breathable as they also spray it over there faces which become almost featureless yet they can still see and breathe perfectly fine...lastly if the assassin is lost behind enemy lines or need to wait for pick for sometime... the suit is edible....
It is actually pretty rare for a planet to be destroyed by exterminatus planets are extremely valuable to the imperium far more than its population in a lot of cases and certainly more than a couple million guardsmen , factory or forge worlds can be extremely valuable others planets can hold extremely valuable strategic positions their could also be some sort of tech on the planet that the imperium doesn't want to destroy that can prevent exterminatus, when worlds are valuable enough for the imperium to field the God engines of the legio titanicus aka titans it makes you realise how rare exterminatus actually is
FYI: you guys are asking some damn good question. They’re just hard questions to answer for anyone who hasn’t specifically gone out of their way to look those questions up themselves.
There was a 5th temple that is redacted because I believe they wanted to create a hybrid from different races as an assassin. Of course the plan went poorly and did some bad shit so they’re redacted.
Assassins are additional troops for Imperium armys. You could be a loyalist Space Marine Chapter, an Imperial guard army, the Custodes, Sisters of Battle, Inquisition and have an Assassin They used to be stronger on the Table top , like 1 assassin could take out a squad of Terminators(extra tanky Space Marine armour) but they are a little nerfed compared now, but still strong, but you would add them to an existing army rather than have an Assasins army. Incidentally you can combine all the Imperium troops so you could have Guard infantry, a squad of Space Marines, and Assassin, maybe a Sisters of battle organ tank, and a few Custodes ...for example, all in the same army Generally speaking you can ally different factions although in certain cases you cant ally The exception (correct me if I am wrong anyone who knows and reads this) but Tyranids/Genesteelers cant ally as fare as I know? (I've not played 40k for years so am rusty)
Nah you have the Imaterium (the warp) and the Materium (normal space) and then there's the Imperium of Man, its has nothing to do with the warp I have no idea what the "Empirium" is, never heard of that
3:54 FYI the music in the background is from the game “mechanicus” which is one of the BEST warhammer games out there is nothing more because of the music. It’s one of the best recreations of the table top game I’ve Ever seen and brilliantly handled. A fuck ton of replay value!!! ...and I can’t over state how awesome the sound track is.... it’s like it’s massaging your brain.
There was a book about a trio of assassins with a Callidus, Vindicare, and Vanus (yes there is more than 4 temples but they're minor and don't really work with tabletop. Vanus is intelligence people. They'll kill you by hacking the room you're in so the fire suppression system trips and you die from CO2, or falsifying information so some mafia or jealous lover does you in.) But in the book the Vindicare needed to make a carriage crash, so it looked like an accident, so he sniped 1 spoke off then he hit the point where the other wheel met the ground while the carriage was moving at speed from almost 2 km away. The book did state the assassins are augmented. The Vindicare didn't have to sleep for example. There was also a case where 1, Dejedris Garamach, waited for 6 years for his target to come through his kill zone. When the target did arrive, it died in half a second. With the inquisition, kind of like Bricky said, there is a finite number of planets and you kind of need a fleet to do exterminatus so just that alone there is a resource problem. Plus there is a lot of politics and power struggles in 40K so yeah inquisitors have just about unlimited power but that doesn't mean much if they can't back it up. Like, if they blow up a Mechanicus Forge World, Ad-Mech won't be happy. Then, oh no that servitor accidentally dropped a crate on that inquisitor what a shame. It also applies to their reach. Where some stuff they would have trouble doing just because the target of investigation is too well protected. Like if an inquisitor accuses a high lord of heresy then 1,000 of the high lord's personal bodyguards might run in and gun her down. Or my fav, "Ha ha, I got 30 stormtroopers and I'm an inquisitor, I demand you 8 Custodes do what I say or die! Let that Dark Eldar play with the Golden Throne." Got to say a lot of people in 40K have really inventive was of commenting suicide.
There are worlds in the Imperium that would have day to day lives that are as good or potentially better than ours, they are called garden worlds as far as I remember, and they are valued, they are not the majority of worlds in the Imperium though, but there are probably 10's of thousands of them (there are 1 million planets in the Imperium)
On the contrary civilized worlds are the most numerous planets in the Imperium but the tend to go unnoticed by us Meta because very little of interest on a galactic scale can springboard from them.
all the assassins have some form for body mods, think like cyberpunk style if you like, they got different modifications made on their body to fit their purpose to fulfill their task.
Its our own galaxy, the Milky Way, in the year 40,000. With Earth, in the Sol system, as the spiritual and cultural center (basically Jerusalem in the middle ages) of the Imperium of Mankind. An estimated million worlds are part of the Imperium, spread throughout the galaxy. Humanity numbers possibly in the quintillions, thats a 10 with 18 zeros. There are planets dedicated to a singular purpose penal worlds, farming, industry, etc. They're spread out in the galaxy, that Medieval style fiefdoms formed, controlled by respective lords. It's said, before the 13th Black Crusade, that caused a rift to split the galaxy in half, that about 75% of the Imperium lived in relative peace. Only the world on the galactic rim, or borders of enemy factions were seeing constant strife.
Imperium= united government of all humans. Materium= the universe in its material, physical form. Immaterium= the warp, world of immaterial things (emotions and such manifest there).
the inquistion doesnt commande the imperium ....its make sure everythinks work propely and have a lot of influence but for instance the inquisition cannot deal with custodes or mechanicus because they are not """part""" of the imperium some factions have immunity gived by the emperor himself like the custodes. a inquisitor can propose a custodes to help but never order them
I dont mean to be rude, but your friends seem either disinterested or quite desensitized to the grimdarkness. "The most powerful guys in an Imperium of trillions to quintillions of people operate under the motto - Innocence proves nothing" Your dudes : meh okay This sniper can kill people by hitting specific target organs from 2 to 3 miles away Your dudes: meh okay One day you'll tell them about the demonculaba and they'll be like "meh so its saturday?"
15:35 Imperium - Empire that includes millions of planets where 99% of its population is human and is all over the galaxy but doesnt control it all cuz obv you have other races. And you have all this different deparments/factions that are in it like you would expect a country or empire will have. Imperial Guard - standard Army Space Marine - elite troops etc etc like its not that hard to understand since its basicly a depiction of a country irl where you have army/special forces/church/secret police and all the other stuff that make a country. Idk how a guy (left) who reads and watches about WH can butcher this when all you have to do is compare each emperial "faction" to the Earth equivelent.
Just a heads up for part 2. Chaos Space Marines and Tyranids are very under explained. I will leave a couple comments going into more detail when the video comes out. You guys should start a reddit and get some submissions for parts of 40k you might be interested in.

It's the thought process of "better to kill an innocent man than leave entire world's vulnerable to the many dangers of the galaxy"
Never can be too careful when the Alpha legion exists.
Yeah but majority of them do a good job even if they have to do stuff that’s considered heretic

Vindicare assassin remind me of marine that crawled through open field for 3 days to shoot NVA general during Vietnam war.
The Inquisition makes for great story telling though. Also inquisitors would kill 2 demons, and they are a very interesting group to get into

The cheapest resource the Imperium has is human lives.
Once you finish part two, there is also a video he did on all the space marines that is also excellent. interesting discussion.

they recently added a new type of assassin , you should see a video about one of these characters : ciaphas cain , sly marbo or Sebastian Yarrick
Can't you guys stop the video and discuss instead of talking in the mid and not hearing half of it?
video volume is low and this guys is too damn loud
