It’s obvious the person took inspiration from Pokemon. Apparently it was like a teenager and they just asked him to draw monsters, I’m sure he based it off pokemon.
Man, I've never heard someone reach so hard to find similarities. Calling Cattiva similar to Zorua is crazy to me.
Yep, they use similar art styles, and are both bassed off animals. It's to be expected they look very similar

The ceruledge example displays a very important thing thats gonna happen when using the same concept of cartoon monsters based off mythological animals and just animals in general, if ceruledge wasnt made after the game was in development than people would be screaming about it too but because it was people are forced to not call it out, but what if thats the case for most? And the only ones they copied were the ones like eevee, cinderace and a few others to just toss in those super popular and familiar ones to get eyes on it which is what pokemon did with dq. Make your own creatures but takes a few on3s from another popular franchise so its fanbase feels more familiar when playing your game so theyll give it more of a chance.
