- USA PREMIERE FREEWING L-15 64MM MAIDEN FLIGHT!
I have looked and looked and can now claim that I am the first to present this Freewing L-15 in it's USA premiere as the first video maiden here in the USA! I have no idea if Motion RC planes to sell this Freewing L-15 64mm but they need to! This 64mm L-15 from Freewing performed well in it's USA premiere maiden that is for sure!
This maiden flight of the Freewing l-15 64mm went very very well.Not as fast as I anticipated but given it's small size that is a good thing.
To me she flew a lot like the Freewing Yak 130 but in a smaller package. i just wish I had not pulled out my velcro after the maiden flight, because I did not have anymore with me. And I could not get the great quality battery strap tight enough to prevent my second battery from sliding around.

Well flown indeed . Mine is assembled & ready to fly.
Gyro works well & you are correct with the reverse working great in the 4s.
Sadly the 4s does not have the oleo gear as i thought but sturdy enough.
Should fly the first Australian maiden tomorrow at the beach.
i did not notice, I wonder if you can buy the gear as a upgrade for the 4s?
You & i think alike as i will ask Rc Castle if they stock oleo gear.
I flew & filmed the maiden on the beach in misty conditions. Flew very well indeed & , as you know quiet motor. Handled the on- board camera well. Awaiting the new Xfly twin otter. Have a great 2024 Greg & camera girl🇦🇺🇺🇸

I dont have any smaller sized 6s so I went with the 4s and using my smaller 5s which I have plenty of. Went with the cheaper gear option as I'll be removing them anyway. Nice to see a comparison of the 6s vs my 5s.
I am going to try this on 4s just to see.
@FatGuyFliesRC ooo u might not get enough rpm. But always worth a try. What's the worst that could happen?!

Motion RC just got the EDF and mine was delivered today. Do you think that a 6 cell 3300 from Admiral would work OK Thank you for all you really good videos. There is plenty of room on the 6 cell version.

Thank you for the help. This 3300 weighs 17 oz and two 2600 3 cells weigh 15 oz. As you said it will be ok, but their instructions do not help/ they confused me. I can not get the gyro to work on ch 5 on my lemon receiver.
Is this a great beginner jet? Or would you recommend the Viper 70mm?
It is a great jet but as a beginner jet the Viper is better. The best beginner jet is the Arrows Marlin however!
You have to take the gear off. Especially for a jet. If you need gear, you need to get a 70+ mm
I do enjoy my little toss and boss edfs!
We got the same exact plane here in Hawaii yesterday. It hates the grass.

Its a little disappointing to see its not that fast.. flew a Banshee on 6s...
Looks like the Banshee might get a better air intake for more speed
i thought it would be fast but it is a little smaller than the Banshee so I really dont want her to be to fast.
Kinda weird they put reverse for 4s and not 6s which is more faster
It is becase Freewing does not make a 50 esc with reverse but when they do i am getting it.
