      It is only for USA citizens, so that is a poor deal for the rest of us - and with a minimum purshase of 130 USD. So unfortunately not a usefull commercial. :/

    if we tried to spend $70 at disneyland in CA you'd only get breakfast🙃 we were shocked how cheap the food was at disneysea when we went! so nice compared to CA prices lol

      A lot of it has to do with the Japanese economy. The exchange rate is in favor of the dollar at the moment. Everything is cheaper over there.

    At Disney in the US 10K JPY might get you breakfast and lunch with a snack in between, maybe. Depends on what you order. I could easily blow 10K on dinner alone here. The parks are out of this world expensive. My deepest sympathies to any Japanese visiting the American parks, you have it particularly rough.

    Chris, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you do! ❤ I just brought my elderly mom to Tokyo Disney in a wheelchair, and your videos and TDR Guide helped everything go smoothly. Love that apple tea soda, you’re so on point. Also, even tho we both like shrimp, that Sweetheart Cafe shrimp sandwich truly was kinda gross (the shrimp tasted not that fresh to me, though maybe that was just a flavor that we’re not used to)…

    re: melon pan (bread), I've watched Japanese cooking channels (hosted by Japanese ladies) that say traditional melonpan has NO melon flavor, but the top of it, often with a hatch pattern, kind of looks like a melon, so it's called "melonpan". But I guess in the last however-many-years, a lot of bakeries and such started adding melon flavor because it confused people why it didn't taste of melon? no idea, but I've never actually had a melonpan that tasted of melon, it just kinda tastes like slightly sweet bread with a semi-crispy top. (JapaneseCooking101 specifically said the top was a cookie-type pastry to give it a crispy texture)

    There are two types of melon bread. The traditional melon bread is just bread with a grid crust that looks like a melon, specifically cantaloupe. There is no filling, so it just tastes like sweet bread. The one's with filling usually don't have top that is grid patterned and the filling does indeed taste like cantaloupe.
    For adzuki filling you can imagine kidney beans cooked in sugar.

    9:00 OMG- YES! I remember as a kid they gave me amoxicillin in these little gator measure tubs and it was thick like Pepto-Bismol and it tasted like either really fake bubble gum or really fake banana. I have banana protein powder that tastes like that- I didn't realize till just now watching this video why I choke it down and dont really enjoy it. I LOVE real banana flavor, or banana extract in baked goods. But fake banana is its own animal.

    Aw man those alien mochi i see people share them online all the time! ❤ also it's funny you day the banana tastes like antibiotics, cause apparently to the Japanese root beer tastes like medicine to them 😅 yen would go along farther at a Japanese disney than the Disneyland in California 😂

    • @kazuthesamurai7346
      @kazuthesamurai7346 11 місяців тому

      The souvenir case you got back in 2016 was redesigned and switched to Green Alien mochi souvenir case back in the late 2010's or early 2020's. The Oriental Land change souvenir items and their designs every season, and they also do souvenir items designed after each event and anniversary 👍🏼 They never recycle the designs they had already used before, so the souvenir case you have is technically a limited edition
